Who (other than Haaland) is 100% locked into your game week one team? Interested to see what players other than the Norwegian robot are 100% going to be in your game week one team no matter what (barring injury ofc) For me the only player that falls into this category is Saka. There’s no way with Arsenals opening fixtures, his price, the fact his on penalties and he’s the closest thing to their talisman that he’ll be leaving my squad. Jesus or Martinelli I changed my squad over 100 times and maybe will do it 100 more, but with Salah and Haaland I am wondering whether to pick Jesus or Martinelli and put Wissa infront. will be their striker. Weghorst (5.5) is technically the best player, but he did really bad at ManU and he´s linked with Everton to have a replacement if DCL gets injured again. Foster (5.0) got some minutes in the end of last season, but scored only 1 goal in around 400 minutes. And Jay Rodriguez (5.5) has long passed his zenith. Maybe they´ll sign Nathan Tella from SOU, who was on loan last season and scored 17 in only 2500 minutes for them. But it seems that the price tag is too high for Burnley to afford him. For sure he would come in at 5.5 or 6.0. Scott Twine (5.0) picked up some minutes in the end of the season, he did really well. I´m not sure why fpl-towers immediatly priced him at 5.0...he would have been a nice and fair target at 4.5 as nobody will buy him at 5.0. Conclusion: I think ist a gamble if you buy Burnleys keeper (no matter who it will be at GW1). But for sure the Burnley keeper will have a low ownership and maybe will be worth it. Beyer is a no-brainer at 4.0 - simply buy him if you need a cheap enabler. Conner Roberts could be great value if Burnleys defense will surprise us like 19/20. EARLY PRESEASON GUIDE - Part 6: Burnley FC Today we talk about the first promoted team in my series. Burnley – if i think about this team i always rembember the 19/20 season, when they parked the bus like no other team. Everybody had at least a double up in their defense (Mee, Tarkowski and Pope). But these times are over - it´s a completely different team now. Let´s take a look... # Goalkeeper: Arijanet Muric (4.5) and James Trafford (4.5?) Muric is without any doubt the clear no.1 - and he did really well last season in Championship. He had the highest save percentage at around 77% and also the best defense in front of him that allowed only 0.76xG/90 mins. However you never know what happens if you buy a keeper from a promoted team. But, as it seems, Burnley is close to sign James Trafford from the ManCity youth team. He´s the no.1 of the England U21 team as well and for sure one of the worlds biggest GK-talents. In my opinion he probably wouldn't consider a transfer if he wasn't the garanteed number 1. Nailed on ? Value for money 7? (very hard to predict) \----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- # Defence: Jordan Beyer (4.0) Honestly i´m not sure why they priced him at 4.0. If fit, he´s a garanteed starter for sure and the safest pick at 4.0 in the whole game. His headers are also not that bad as he had an 0,08xG/90 in Championship last season (scoring 1 goal). The relatively low ownership of only 8,2% makes him even more interesting. Nailed on: 9 Attacking involvement: 2.5 Value for money: 10 \----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Connor Roberts (4.5) He´s Burnleys most offensive defender by far. He plays more like a midfielder and is good for goals and assists. Think he´s definitly worth the extra 0.5 compared to Beyer, but of course he´s not if you plan to bench him anyway. I have to mention at this point, that Burnleys defense is a big questionmark in general. The reason is easy to explain: Loanies Ian Maatsen (Chelsea) and Tyler Harwood-Bellis (ManCity) have been an integral part of their defense. Burnely don´t want to pay the 25m pricetag for Maatsen and H.-Bellis has already recieved offers from NEW, WHU and FUL. For this reason (altough the defense worked really well last season) there´s a chance that it will completely implode under the pressure of the high-class PL-teams. Nailed on: 9 Attacking involvement: 7.5 Value for money: 6 \----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- # Midfielders: Josh Brownhill (5.0) Brownhill is the chief in the CM and for me he´s Burnleys best player in general. He´s very creative and he produced some beautiful assists, while most of his goals came from outside the penalty-area. He takes corners and indirect freekicks as well.  Not sure you want to have a 5.0 on the bench as he´s maybe not good enough for your starting XI. Nailed on 10: (if fit) Attacking involvement: 7 Value for money: 7 \----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- # Forwards:  I won´t touch any of them at the moment as it is totally unclear who´ll play in this position. \----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The best of the rest: Charlie Tayler could be another playing 4.0-asset if they won´t sign another LB, but i think it´s more likely that Vitinho will fill the spot. Benson (5.5) and Zaroury (5.0) are their wingers – they will score at some point for sure, but i don´t like to have them in my starting XI for the moment. How many premiums to have without butchering the rest of the team? Normally I always try to have one premium player in each position, but I'm finding that its really hard to get this done and still have a decent rest of the team.I'm trying to build my team around one premium player in each positiopn so for now those are TAA, Salah and Haaland. The best I've managed so far and what I thought is the bare minimum of what a decent team should look like to start with is this: Ramsdale (Flekken) TAA, Estupinan, James (Bell, Botman) Salah, Saka, Maddison/Mount/Mitoma, Mbeumo (a 4.5 mid) Haaland, Nkunku, Wissa This to me is a decent and competitive team for a 3-4-3 formation, however means I'm still $3.5 short to bring in a $4.5 midfielder, so here is my question...is it better to go with 2 premiums these days or stick with 3 at the expense of preety much the rest of the team? ​ https://redd.it/14yc8bs @r_FantasyPL

How to create an FPL Points projection model I would like to create an Fpl points projection model using Machine Learning on my own based on the historic data of the players from past seasons. Is this possible? If so, can somone please give me insights on how I should move about on this. I am an avid FPL fan and interested in learning Machine Learning. This game me the thought of why not create a model using Machine Learning so that I can learn the concepts in ML as well as build a model for myself to play this game. FPL Game Improvement Suggestions I always thought that the actual game aspect of FPL could be improved to make it a little bit more fun and convenient. Here's a few suggestions that've been floating around in my mind, that I wish were included within the app. 1. Better Leagues It would be incredible if when creating a league, certain options could be selected to define specific rules. For example, allowed/dissallowed teams, max player pricing, amount of players per team, total team value or player nationality. Only allow teams entry to the league or make transfers if it follows the outlined rules, meaning there is no 3rd party management required. This would make the game more diverse and enjoyable by introducing interesting restrictions and therefore increasing variety. It could also improve retention and enjoyability as managers may be more invested in these leagues. 2. Multiple Teams Per Account Cut out the creation of extra accounts by allowing managers to create multiple teams from one account. However, only allow one team to be entered per league (both invitational/general), or allow multiple, but only one can be ranked. This supports the above custom leagues by allowing managers to create different teams for different leagues. This adds a new dimension to the game as it allows managers to properly be involved in multiple leagues and to experiment with different teams, either with restricted leagues or self imposed rules, all-the-while maintaining their usual team for the main overall league. If a manager falls behind with no hope of clawing points back, they could just focus on a different team in a different league. 3. League Board League codes begone! Add a menu that shows all the leagues, with filterable restrictions, that would allow managers to search for open leagues to join them. Leagues could also be 'private' that require an invitation. Instead of trawling through league codes and posts, simply have the option to join them directly. I just feel a lot of improvements could be made to make FPL more enjoyable and 'gamey'.
