The given chart compares the consumption of three kinds of fast food by Australian adolescents between 1990 and 2020. Overall, the sales of French fries trended downwards, whereas hamburgers and pizza increased dramatically, albeit pizza experienced varying levels. Of particular note are the latter figures, which were the least consumed surpassed the former one. Starting with French fries, despite its initial dominance, it underwent a consistent decrease during the given timeframe. The figure for French fries had accounted for 70 times by 1990; however, its intake fell in 2005 to the point where all food was eaten in equal times by teenager. The gap between hamburger, pizza and French fries widened, where the number of times French fries was consumed shrank significantly. As far as hamburgers along with pizza are concerned, in spite of their runner up position in 1990, both rose continuously until 2020. Of significance is the pizza, which had changing sales. They had comprised approximately 10 by 1990, overtaking the French fries in 2005, which used to be a frontrunner. Interestingly, hamburgers together with pizza kept on ascending, while the opposite was true for French fries. In 2020, hamburger reached its peak number of times, pizza also followed almost the same pattern as hamburger did, with both standing at 90 and 80 respectively in 2020. Classwork Words: 218

Some people believe that people who read books can develop more imagination and language skills than those who prefer to watch TV. To what extent do you agree or disagree? In an era marked by an excessive screen time, it has become common among adolescents to develop an attachment to this device that prevents holistic development. While some assert the importance of book to improve the literacy skills along with the expansion of ones’ worldview, I believe undermining the value of books will deprive individuals from numerous benefits. Proponents of reading cite several reasons to endorse their opinion, as prioritizing this activity over watching offers several advantages. If one pursues the former, it will mark a significant milestone in his carrier. Resulting in superior cognitive abilities, better problem solving skills and far better creativity, since reading encourages individuals to imagine the characters’ appearance, the settings and landscape. Unlike the TV, where the protagonists’ looks along with clothes are filmed and shown to the views, where the audience hardly practice their imagination. Today the quality of TV shows has reached to the point where the contents are monitored, assigning limited hours can make a big difference. This, in turn, would stimulate majority to switch into a novelty domain, reading - for example. Lexical resources are considered much more advanced of those who are avid readers, this enables this group of individuals to be literate. Job prospects coupled with emotional intelligence are reported to be another credit. Misspelling, grammar mistakes and simplicity of sentence structures are associated with this past time activity; however, the readers are career-oriented, focused on performing the assigned tasks superbly. Addiction to screen overwhelmingly will deprive individuals from the valuable time that could be spent on wholesome pursuits. Take outstanding academic excellence as an example, not only does it require devotion of energy, but also the precious investment, which is time. Instead of viewing cartoons or long films, students ought to divert their interests into reading. In conclusion, I believe that only through minimizing our watching hours can we make greater strides in the long term. Therefore, excellence at both studies along with work can be only achieved as long as time is channeled into reading. Classwork #task2_agree_disagree
