Indian Defence Secretary invites Japanese defence industries to Make-in-India In an opportunity to enhance defence ties between India-Japan, Defence Secretary Giridhar Aramane invited the Japanese industry to Make-in-India during the 7th India-Japan Defence Policy Dialogue. The joint dialogue was co-chaired by him and Japan’s Vice Minister of Defence for International Affairs Oka Masami in New Delhi. As part of the “Make-in-India” initiative, the Defence Secretary has asked Japanese defence industries to look into the investment potential in India. He emphasised that both nations should work to strengthen their defence industry partnerships. Both parties, as a result of the dialogue, concurred to broaden their areas of cooperation in cutting-edge fields like cyber and space defence. The 7th edition of the Defence Policy Dialogue witnessed deliberations on various issues, including Service-level exercises and engagements, and regional security issues. Discussions were also held on cooperation in defence equipment and technology in the meeting. During the meet, India and Japan welcomed the inaugural edition of the bilateral air exercise ‘Veer Guardian 2023’ between the Indian Air Force (IAF) and Japan Air Self Defence Force (JASDF) held in January this year. The Japanese Vice Minister also presented policy updates from their recently released National Security Strategy and National Defence Strategy. India-Japan Defence Ties With the conduct of frequent high-level visits and conversations, defence cooperation between India and Japan has been on the rise. Apart from the exercise Veer Guardian, which was held for the first time this year between the Air Forces of India and Japan, both countries also conduct an Army exercise known as Dharma Guardian. This year, both nations held the fourth edition of Dharma Guardian at Camp Imazu in Shiga Province, Japan. Both Asian countries also engage in exercises Shinyu Maitri, Japan-India Maritime Exercise and Maritime Partnership Exercise (MPX). The India-Japan Defence Policy Dialogue has been an efficient platform for both nations to deliberate on bilateral defence issues. During the dialogue this year, India and Japan reaffirmed their commitment to a strong defence alliance and decided to look for ways to expand their mutually beneficial collaboration.

RBI ने रेपो रेट को 6.5 फीसदी पर रखा बरकरार, नहीं बढ़ेगी लोन की EMI भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक (RBI) ने ब्याज दर में कोई बदलाव नहीं किया है। आरबीआई ने लगातार छह बार रेपो रेट बढ़ाने के बाद 7वीं बार लोगों को बड़ी राहत दी है। आरबीआई की मौद्रिक नीति समिति (MPC) ने समीक्षा बैठक में रेपो रेट को 6.50 फीसदी पर ही बरकरार रखा है। MPC बैठक के बाद RBI गवर्नर की बड़ी घोषणा इस संबंध में भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक के गवर्नर शक्तिकांत दास ने बैठक के बाद गुरुवार को एक प्रेस कॉन्फ्रेंस में जानकारी दी। उन्होंने कहा कि आरबीआई ने अर्थव्यवस्था में जारी पुनरुद्धार को और गति देने के लिए नीतिगत दर में और बढ़ोतरी नहीं की गई है। उन्होंने बताया कि रेपो रेट को 6.5 फीसदी पर बरकरार रखा है। आरबीआई गवर्नर ने कहा कि चालू वित्त वर्ष 2023-24 के लिए आर्थिक वृद्धि दर के अनुमान को 6.4 फीसदी से बढ़ाकर 6.5 फीसदी कर दिया गया है। वहीं, महंगाई दर 5.2 फीसदी अनुमानित है। तीन दिनों तक चली MPC की बैठक मौद्रिक नीति समिति (MPC) की सोमवार को शुरू हुई तीन दिवसीय बैठक में लिए गए निर्णय की जानकारी देते हुए शक्तिकांत दास ने कहा कि एमपीसी ने अर्थव्यवस्था में जारी पुनरुद्धार को बरकरार रखने तथा उसे और गति देने के लिए आम सहमति से नीतिगत दर को यथावत रखने रखने का निर्णय किया है। छह सदस्यीय मौद्रिक नीति समिति का फैसला विशेषज्ञों की अपेक्षाओं को धता बताते हुए, आरबीआई गवर्नर शक्तिकांत दास की अध्यक्षता वाली छह सदस्यीय मौद्रिक नीति समिति ने नीतिगत दरों पर यथास्थिति की घोषणा की है। मौद्रिक नीति समिति ने सर्वसम्मति से रेपो दर को 6.5 प्रतिशत पर बरकरार रखने का निर्णय लिया है। हालांकि, आरबीआई स्थिति को देखते हुए कार्रवाई के लिए तैयार रहेगा। नतीजतन, स्थायी जमा सुविधा एसडीएफ दर 6.25 प्रतिशत और सीमांत स्थायी सुविधा (MSF) दर और बैंक दर 6.75 प्रतिशत पर स्थिर रहेगी। चालू वित्त वर्ष में मुद्रास्फीति 5.2 फीसदी रहने का अनुमान आगो जोड़ते हुए उन्होंने कहा कि चालू वित्त वर्ष में मुद्रास्फीति 5.2 फीसदी रहने का अनुमान है। आरबीआई गवर्नर ने बताया कि वित्त वर्ष 2023-24 की पहली तिमाही में मुद्रास्फीति 5.1 फीसदी रहने का अनुमान है। क्या होता है रेपो रेट ? रेपो रेट यानि रेपो दर वह दर है जिस पर आरबीआई आम तौर पर सरकारी प्रतिभूतियों के खिलाफ बैंकों को उधार देता है जबकि रिवर्स रेपो वह दर है जिस पर आरबीआई बैंकों से पैसा उधार लेता है। ये दोनों दरें बैंकों से ऋण लेने वाले ग्राहकों के लिए प्रमुख निर्धारक हैं। होम-ऑटो सहित ज्यादातर खुदरा कर्ज इसी रेपो रेट पर आधारित होते हैं। इस बार रेपो रेट में बढ़ोतरी नहीं होने से बैंक भी खुदरा लोन की ब्याज दरें नहीं बढ़ाएंगे, जिसका फायदा घर खरीदारों को सीधा मिलेगा। इससे पहले आरबीआई ने मई, 2022 से फरवरी, 2023 तक रेपो रेट में 2.50 फीसदी तक की बढ़ोतरी की थी, जो चार फीसदी से बढ़कर 6.50 फीसदी पर पहुंच चुका है। फिलहाल, आरबीआई ने चालू वित्त वर्ष 2023-24 की पहली एमपीसी बैठक में रेपो रेट में कोई बदलाव नहीं कर लोगों को बड़ी राहत दी है। रेपो रेट में बढ़ोतरी से बैंकों से कर्ज लेने वाले ग्राहकों के लिए मुश्किल बढ़ सकती थी, क्योंकि कर्ज महंगा होने से बैंकों सहित कई सेक्टर पर नेगेटिव असर होता है। Post Monetary Policy Press Conference by Shri Shaktikanta Das, RBI Governor- April 06, 2023 https://t.co/6PkXMRhmic — ReserveBankOfIndia (@RBI) April 6, 2023 कब होगी मौद्रिक नीति समिति की अगली बैठक ?
