THE VIRTUE OF THE QUR'AN ALLĀH says, لَقَدْ أَنزَلْنَا إِلَيْكُمْ كِتَابًا Indeed, WE have sent down for you a Book WE have sent down to you - O people to whom Muhammad ibn Abdullah ibn Abdul-Muttalib (ﷺ) was sent - a noble Book and a clear Qur’an, فِيهِ ذِكْرُكُمْ in which there is honour for you. That is, renown, pride and a lofty status, if you pay heed to what it contains of true stories, then believe in it, comply with what it enjoins and avoid what it forbids. Then you will rise in status and become significant. أَفَلَ تَعْقِلُونَ will you not then understand what will benefit you and what will harm you? How can you not accept it and not strive to adhere to that in which is your renown and honour in this world and in the hereafter? If you had any understanding, you would have followed this path. But because you did not follow it, and you followed other paths instead that would lead to humiliation and to low status and misery in this world and the hereafter, it is known that you have no sound reasoning or understanding. This verse is confirmed by what happened in reality: those who believed in the Messenger (ﷺ) and followed the teachings of the Qur’an, namely the Sahabah and those who came after them, attained honour, high status and great renown, and were elevated to a higher position than kings, as is well known to everyone. It is also known what happened to those who did not adhere to this Qur’an and were not guided by it and did not purify themselves on the basis thereof: they were brought low, despised, tainted and wretched. There is no way to attain happiness in this world or the hereafter except by adhering to the teachings of this Book. {Tafsi‌r As-Sa'di} #sadi #anbiya (21:10) Amir ibn Wathila reported that Nafi ibn Abd al-Harith met Umar (may ALLĀH be pleased with him) at Usfan and Umar had employed him as collector in Makkah. He (Umar) said to him (Nafi): 'Whom have you appointed as collector over the people of the valley?' He said: 'Ibn Abza.' He said: 'Who is Ibn Abza?' He said: 'He is one of our freed slaves.' He (Umar) said: 'So you have appointed a freed slave over them.' He said: 'He is well versed In the Book of ALLĀH. the Exalted and Great, and he is well versed In the commandments and injunctions (of the Shari'ah).' Shaykh Ibn Uthaymeen said in his sharh of Riyad Al-Salihin : "A man who is seduced by a woman of high status and beauty" — meaning she called him to commit immorality with her. However, he possessed strong chastity and pure honor. "He said: 'I fear Allah.'" He is a man who possesses desire, and the call to which this woman invited him normally compels action because she was the one seeking it, and the place was empty with no one around. Yet, what prevented him was the fear of Allah, Almighty and Majestic. He did not say, "I fear someone will see us," nor did he say he had no desire for sexual relations; rather, he said: "I fear Allah." Therefore, Allah will shade him in His shade on the Day when there is no shade but His, due to the perfection of his chastity." Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani (may ALLĀH have mercy on him) said: "Dhikr (remembrance of ALLĀH) is of seven forms: • The dhikr of the eyes is through weeping (due to taqwa of ALLĀH). • The dhikr of the ears is through attentive listening. • The dhikr of the tongue is through praising (ALLĀH). • The dhikr of the hands is through giving. • The dhikr of the heart is through fear and hope. • The dhikr of the body is through fulfilling (one’s obligations). • The dhikr of the soul is through submission and contentment (to the decree of ALLĀH)." 📚 Fatḥ al-Bāri

Islam is a Religion of Hygiene Ibn al-Jawzī رحمـــه الله said: I noticed that many people tend to neglect their bodies; some do not floss their teeth after eating, some do not wash their hands from oil and fat. REMINDER: FASTING AL-AYYĀM AL-BĪD (THE WHITE DAYS) FOR SAFAR 1448AH The white days of the month refer to the 13th, 14th, and 15th of each lunar month. The moon is at its fullest and most luminous during this period. Fasting on these days is sunnah, mentioned in various hadith. Abu Dharr said: The Messenger of ALLĀH ﷺ said to me: "If you fast any part of the month, then fast the 13th, 14th, and 15th." {An-Nasai #2424} Abdullāh ibn 'Amr ibn al-'As said: The Messenger of ALLĀH ﷺ said to me: "It is sufficient for you to fast three days every month because, for every good deed, you will have ˹the reward of˺ ten like it, so that will be like fasting for a lifetime." {Al-Bukhārī #1874} Abu Hurayrah said: "My close friend (the Prophet ﷺ) advised me to do three things which I will not give up until I die: fasting three days of each month, praying Duha, and sleeping after Witr." {Muslim #721} FASTING DATES: 28th (Tuesday), 29th (Wednesday) and 30th (Thursday) of July in Nigeria and South Africa And, 27th (Monday), 28th (Tuesday) and 29th (Wednesday) of July Saudi Arabia. *"A believing young woman does not go out wearing trousers, jackets, and short clothes that her jilbab does not cover.* *And a believing young woman does not go out among people wearing European-style suits, imitating men, then put a piece of cloth on her head to convince herself that she is wearing hijab!* Hijab is an act of worship. And we worship Allah only according to what He legislated, not according to people's desires and their fashions. And a believing young woman does not put a small piece of cloth on her head, then expose her hair to the people. And a believing young woman does not go out wearing soft, flowing clothes that cling to the body, revealing her fitnah with every step and movement." — _Dr. Fareed Al-Ansari, may Allah have mercy on him_

O wives of the Prophet, you are not like anyone among women. If you fear ALLĀH, then do not be soft in speech ˹to men˺, lest he in whose heart is disease should be moved with desire, but speak in an honourable manner. And stay in your houses, and do not display yourselves like that of the times of ignorance, and perform As-Salāh, and give Zakāh and obey ALLĀH and HIS Messenger. ALLĀH wishes only to remove Ar-Rijs (evil deeds and sins) from you, O people of the ˹Prophet's˺ household, and to purify you with a thorough purification. And remember what is recited in your houses of the verses of ALLĀH and wisdom (i.e. Prophet’s Sunnah). Indeed, ALLĀH is ever Subtle and Aware. 📖 Al-Ahzāb || Verses 32-34 Ibn Kathīr said: "These are the good manners which ALLĀH enjoined upon the wives of the Prophet so that they would be an example for the women of the Ummah to follow." {Tafsi‌r Ibn Kathīr}

TREATING THE PAINS OF CHILDBIRTH WITH QUR'AN VERSES Ibn al-Qayyim (may ALLĀH have mercy on him) said: "A number of the early generations granted a concession which allows writing some verses of Qur'an and drinking them, and that is regarded as coming under the heading of the healing that ALLĀH has created in the Qur'an. Another example of that (i.e., treating the pains of childbirth) is to write ˹in Arabic˺ in a clean vessel the verses:

إِذَا ٱلسَّمَاۤءُ ٱنشَقَّتۡ ۞  وَأَذِنَتۡ لِرَبِّهَا وَحُقَّتۡ ۞  وَإِذَا ٱلۡأَرۡضُ مُدَّتۡ ۞  وَأَلۡقَتۡ مَا فِیهَا وَتَخَلَّتۡ ۞ وَأَذِنَتۡ لِرَبِّهَا وَحُقَّتۡ ۞ When the sky has split ˹open˺, and has responded to its Lord and was obligated ˹to do so˺, and when the earth has been extended, and has cast out that within it and relinquished ˹it˺, and has responded to its Lord and was obligated ˹to do so˺. {Al-Inshiqaq 84:1-5}
