The Lord has once again exceeded every prayer and expectation of ours🥺 Some thanksgivings to celebrate along with us!! ✨Deep personal encounters with the Lord for each member of the team ✨Open doors to new communities and villages that we have not yet reached in the past 1.5 years ✨Growing boldness and vision of the church to be a city on a hill and a light to their community ✨A tangible, widespread sense of the Lord’s love in the community ✨A season of expansion and multiplication of the work. The work is growing beyond our capacity and the call is for more hands and feet on the ground in the coming season We encourage you to pray about how you can be a part of this work in the next few years! Believing that it is a divine season where we as a spiritual family can partner the Lord in reaping this great harvest. Feel free to reach out to us for more conversations as you are led❤️

As Timon and Pumbaa once sang, “here’s the bottom line, our trio’s down to two” 🥹 Kez has moved into a season of training and equipping, for her to return as a full-time missionary next year👏🏻 The era of the Three Musketeers/Powerpuff Girls/Charlie’s Angels has come to an end, but our partnership has certainly not❤️ We thank God for the beautiful things He has allowed us to be a part of as a team the past 1.5 years, and anticipate the greater work He is calling each of us to in the season ahead! Keep our dear Kez in prayer as her training has begun, as well as Sarah and I as we adapt to this new season as a team🙆🏻‍♀️

We also hosted our longest STM team yet! There were 7 young adults (and 1 local interpreter) that came to stay with us for 8 days in the village, supporting us in launching a district-wide young adult movement, community outreach through Kids Club and Sports Day, as well as running a 2D1N camp for our church youths. The camp was a huge milestone for our youths, who learnt how to do personal devotions, perform outreach skits and share their testimony. It was most beautiful to see something click in their spirits, with many dedicating/re-dedicating their lives to reach their community and nation for Christ🥹 It has been quite a process in helping our youths articulate their faith for themselves, but we are beginning to see the birthing of a larger vision in their hearts.. The Lord is indeed doing something so special in their lives! Press on in prayer with us, that the seeds sown will take root and produce a generation sold out for Christ❤️‍🔥

Another favour-filled opportunity was the privilege we had to host THE PRESIDENT in our village🫡 Having him advocate for us was another breakthrough for our relationship with the community — many who were skeptical have become more accepting, and many accepting now ready to partner and journey alongside us! Since then, we’ve continued to have divine conversations with the village chief responsible for organizing the President’s visit, who has become yet another man of peace for us. His heart is aligned with ours in wanting to see transformation in the village, above personal agendas; a rare and God-given gift among the political leaders here. Doors and opportunities are flinging wide beyond our capacity :’) Pray for us to be sensitive and discerning as we navigate our priorities this season🙏🏻

Wrapped up our third English Course Graduation, with our Level 2s, 3s, and first batch of Level 1 adults! The event was a culmination of answered prayers, with the Lord showing us tangible breakthroughs in the community’s hearts towards us and the gospel — things are moving and breaking in the community like never before, and local believers have been sharing many “this is the first time” testimonies.. We are assured once again that this is indeed the time and place the Lord has divinely led us to, and that we’re truly on the verge of His great move in this village! Praise Him for multiplying our five loaves and two fishes🙌🏻

It wasn’t “happily ever after” when I said yes to missions in Timor 🇹🇱 Keeping it real is missionary HAZEL TAN, who shares that saying yes to missions didn't mean smoothly sailing off into the sunset with Jesus. Looking back on a year which has seen her having to face her inner man and endure severe eczema in Dili, Hazel gives us an honest but uplifting picture of life in the harvest fields. Hi friends! It's been such a full season, apologize we haven't been able to update here in awhile - but we will soon! We just had a SEA Field Workers Retreat in Bali with our CEFC team serving in the region. For tomorrow's Timor prayer, we'll be praying with them to pray for the work in South East Asia!
