💡 Analysis. I was just browsing defillama.com/protocol/eigenlayer and here are some thoughts I had: Which projects does EigenLayer actually compete with? I looked at the statistics for projects https://defillama.com/Isd whose main function is liquid staking of ETH 2.0. Why this specifically? Because out of the $73 billion in PoS staking, $49.5 billion is locked in LSD (Liquid Staking Derivatives) projects. There are many such projects, but the undisputed leader is LIDO, which has captured 71% of all this capital, meaning the total locked value (TVL) of LIDO is almost $35 billion. Therefore, we will compare EigenLayer specifically with LIDO. Both projects contribute to innovation in decentralized finance and blockchain, but with different focuses - LIDO on liquidity and accessibility of staking, and EigenLayer on expanding the use of locked assets to enhance network security. But let's look at the logic of deciding in favor of one project or another from the perspective of the end user. The main criterion for choice, of course, is the profit they will receive. Is #EIGEN a gem💎 or not??? Let's ponder a bit. Funds: EigenLayer has been invested in by such funds as Coinbase Ventures and Andreessen Horowitz. These are the top two funds in crypto. These funds don't invest in unclear projects. They have smart people who very carefully select projects for funding. But most importantly, both of these funds INVESTED in EigenLayer SIMULTANEOUSLY. As I've mentioned before, their joint investments were in Aptos (APT), Worldcoin (WLD), and SUI, each of which now has a capitalization of over $2 billion. Valuation: EigenLayer is currently valued at $10 billion. With a full-scale launch on centralized exchanges, it would be around the 15th place on CoinMarketCap, next to Polygon (#MATIC) and NEAR (which already has a partnership with EigenLayer). Early Stage: EigenLayer (#EIGEN) is currently at an early stage of market entry. The price of #EIGEN is at a low start before, as I believe, moving towards $20 per coin. Been snooping around and got some more interesting information. One of the Ethereum client developers, Nethermind, has partnered with EigenLayer.

The collaboration is aimed at implementing permissionless innovations in the blockchain ecosystem by

Nethermind will likely participate in the community governance multisig for the EigenLayer protocol, helping to distribute the decision-making process and encouraging a more decentralized ecosystem. The goal of this collaboration is to

develop new AVS (Artificial Value Streams)

intended to support the

Ritual Infernet

Logically, the partnership will ensure the decentralization and security of AI operations on the Ritual network + generate income for EigenLayer operators in Ritual. Most likely, smart contracts will be able to use artificial intelligence for applications through a decentralized Oracle network. This is also beneficial for AI development. I believe that thanks to the collaboration, AVS will be deployed using EigenLayer operators who perform restaking, which allows for more precise tuning and training of AI models.
