AWAKENING OF THE SOUL
Our great Paschal concert, «Awakening of the Soul,» told a beautiful and true story — about the life of service in our monastery and the Love of God that brought it into being. It was also a living parable of multiplied talents, showing just how richly blessed our monastery truly is.

Christianity is learned through practice, and reading of the Lives of the Saints is very important. Watching videos is not only unsafe, it ("Orthodox channels") guarantees distorted beliefs and a mix of heretical ideas in addition to some correct substrate.

Since man cannot live without miracles, he will provide himself with miracles of his own making. He will believe in witchcraft and sorcery, even though he may otherwise be a heretic, an atheist, and a rebel.

Know that God rules the world; He has no unrighteousness. But His truth is different from human righteousness. God rejected human truth, because it is characterized by sin, lawlessness, and the fall from paradise. God established His all-holy truth, the truth of the Cross, which opens Heaven to us. It pleases Him that we enter the Kingdom of Heaven through many tribulations (Acts 14:22).
St Ignatius (Brianchaninov)
The difficulties in our life are inevitable facts of life. As the Saint explains, there is no other path in this sinful corrupted world, which is not a paradise. And this is our choice whether we fall apart and fall from God losing eternity with Him out of blind despair, or we accept it as a matter of life course and become stronger and wiser, even through pain and tears.
Remember that even the Apostles who knew Christ personally while He was on earth , didn’t get a perfect world life. But what they got was srong faith to overcome everything trying to share this faith with others and to reach Heavenly Kingdom.

The recovered text contains known portions of Paul’s Letters but offers insight into how the New Testament was understood and transmitted in the early centuries of the Church.

*Gain an understanding of the faith*
God’s people must have a thorough understanding of the Church’s doctrinal teachings. The laity must have a thorough understanding of the doctrine of our faith and the foundations of Orthodox spirituality, so that, should priests, bishops, or patriarchs ever stray and teach heresy, the people of God may and must be able to hold them accountable.

Repost from Ask About The Orthodox Faith
Having strengthened our soul by the thought of the boundless mercy, wisdom, omnipotence, and holiness of our Creator and Provider, we can pass through the course of our earthly life without fear and without disturbance, like a child in its mother's arms, like a ship with trusty anchors.
And therefore "Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is.", "The Lord is my deliverer, in Whom I will trust.", "I will not be afraid for ten thousand of the people."
However, while having trust, we must not ourselves be careless and idle. The essence of Christian hope is a lively, active, and constant aspiration after the Highest Blessing and the Source of all blessings, God, with an insatiable longing to come near or to Him and to receive from Him and in Him the kingdom of heaven, prepared before the creation of the world.

Jordanville Monastery Supporters Plan Protest Against Wind Project
JORDANVILLE, NY — An urgent call to action has been issued ahead of a planned wind-energy project near Holy Trinity Monastery, as clergy and faithful prepare for a peaceful demonstration on April 28 at 5:30 p.m. The appeal, blessed by Bp. Luke of Syracuse, urges participation in response to a proposed 70-turbine, 250-megawatt development by Terra-Gen Rolling Hills.
Organizers say the project involves more than 17,000 acres of leased land surrounding the monastery. A “Landowner Dinner” hosted by the developer is scheduled for the same evening at Knotting Hill Farm, where demonstrators plan to gather on public land to express opposition to the project and support for the monastery.
