(iv) They should use carbon paper to make duplicate copies while writing on the preparation sheets. Candidates will then be allowed 1 hour to prepare for the examination. Candidates must write their names, index numbers and the following information on the preparation sheets: (0) the names of the dishes chosen; (1) the reasons for the choice of dishes; (1) the quantity of ingredients for each dish; (iv) the total quantity of all ingredients required; a time-plan showing the order of work. At the end of the planning period, candidates must carefully tear out the carbon copies and hand them over with the question paper, to the Examiner. Section B on total quantity of ingredients is to be passed on to the Foods and Nutrition Teacher to enable her order food. The carbon copies will be returned to the candidates before the examination begins, for their use during the examination. The question papers and the carbon copies must then be placed in an envelope, sealed and kept by the Head of school. (c) On no account may candidates discuss, be given advice on their preparation sheets or the work of the examination at any time before the examination. (d) Food should be ordered in accordance with the candidates' lists. If any ingredient not on the list is provided, the Examiner should be informed. The time allowed for the practical examination will be 3 hours. Candidates should be reminded that: a change in the choice of dish or time-plan will not be accepted except for some good reasons; (6) excessive talking or the offer of help to or acceptance of help from another candidate is likely to lead to expulsion from the examination hall; in order to pass the whole examination candidates are required to satisfy the Examiner in both Papers 3 and 2 (Practical and Theory). PROVISION OF MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT There should be sufficient space and adequate equipment for individual work by each candidate.
