1. If 3m x 3n = 243 and 3m ÷ 32n = 9, write down two Hence equations connecting m and n. find the values of m and n.
2. a) The cost of a packet of sugar is x cedis and the cost of a tin of milk is y cedis. If 3 packets of sugar and 4 tins of milk cost ¢635.00 and 4 packets of sugar and 3 tins of milk cost é695.00, write two equations connecting x andd y. Hence find x andy.
b) The cost of production of a wireless set was ₵40,000.00. The manufacturer sold it to a wholesaler at a profit of 20 per cent. The wholesaler also sold it to a retailer at a profit of 25 per cent. The retailer marked the set to be sold at a price 50 per cent above what he paid for it.
i) Find the marked price
ii) To a customer who paid cash, the retailer reduced the price to ₵75,000.00. Find the percentage discount.
3. a) Without using tables or calculator, evaluate 3√7(7-2√7), if √7 = 2.646
b) The cost of producing a motor car in a certain factory is partly constant and partly varies inversely as a number of cars produced per day. If the cost of producing each car is 1,600 dollars when 4 cars are produced per day and 1,420 dollars when 5 cars are produced per day, find the rate of production necessary to bring the cost down to 1,150 dollars per car. dollars

1 (a) i. Specimen C is a cockroach, which belongs to the phylum Arthropoda and the class Insecta.
a) ii. Two reasons for this classification are:
1. Cockroaches have a segmented body with a distinct head, thorax, and abdomen, which is a characteristic feature of insects.
2. Cockroaches have six legs, three body segments, and two pairs of wings (in some species), which are all typical characteristics of insects.
1. (b).
i. Segmented parts of specimen C:
- Abdomen
- Antennae
ii. Jointed parts of specimen C:
- Legs
- Mouthparts
iii. Paired parts of specimen C:
- Wings (if present)
- Compound eyes
1(c) Two negative effects that the mass death of specimen C would have on the ecosystem:
i. Disruption of nutrient cycling
ii. Impact on food chain

Question 3b.
A- LAN
B- AC power connector
C- fan outlet
3a.
1. Power delivery: The PSU is responsible for converting the incoming AC power from the wall outlet into the appropriate DC power that the computer components need to operate. It provides power to the motherboard, CPU, graphics card, storage devices, and other hardware components.
2. Voltage regulation and protection: The PSU ensures that the voltage supplied to the computer components remains stable and within the specified limits. It also includes protection mechanisms such as overvoltage protection, undervoltage protection, and short circuit protection to safeguard the computer components from damage.

3d.
1. Power surges: When there is a sudden increase in electrical voltage, such as during a lightning strike or a power outage followed by a power surge, it can overload and damage the PSU. It's important to use surge protectors or uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) to help protect your computer from these voltage fluctuations.
2. Overheating: If the PSU is not properly cooled or if there is inadequate airflow within the computer case, it can lead to overheating. Over time, this can cause the PSU components to degrade and fail. Ensure that your computer is properly ventilated and that the PSU fan is functioning correctly to prevent overheating.
