The Met Office (the UK’s weather forecaster) has received $200,000 over the previous five years from SilverLining, a geoengineering climate NGO with ties to Congress, the World Economic Forum, and the United Nations. The NGO recently announced a $20.5 million financing round to further its governance and equality projects on “near-term climate risk and climate intervention.” Furthermore, they have ties to the Pritzker Innovation Fund. 🚨✈️ Here's what I found after I submitted an FOI Request about Geoengineering in the UK Main takeaways: - £152,046 from the Met Office Hadley Centre Climate Programme, funded by various UK government departments. - The Met Office received $200,000 from an NGO called SilverLining which has links to Congress, The UN, The World Economic Forum and more. - The UKRI revealed that there have been over 327 projects, with an additional 7 results for 'stratospheric aerosol injection' funded in British universities. - There was only one public dialogue on geoengineering but it was in 2011. - When given 25 scientific publications on geoengineering, the majority of the studies outlined the dangers of the practice including health risks, implementation uncertainties, and unforeseen ecological impacts. 🚨✈️ Geoengineering FOI Update: I have received two big responses with many more to arrive from governmental departments very soon. The amount of information I have been sent is overwhelming. It includes information on UK funding, investments, research projects and publications for projects on Solar Radiation Management, Earth radiation management, carbon dioxide removal, atmospheric aerosol injection and much more. Planning on putting out a brief video soon. I’ve received two major responses to my FOI Requests on Geoengineering. I’ve spent the last few days just going through it. They’ve sent a lot of research projects and publications on stratospheric aerosol injection and Solar Radiation Management including funding from various departments. One thing I can confirm is that the so called “conspiracy theorists” will be vindicated.
