IMPORTANT TIP Presentation tips by CA RAJ BADIYANI. Tip #5 - Writing All Questions. In case the ICAI sets a challenging paper, consider attempting all 6 questions. Let me share my experience from the law paper, which was very difficult, I tackled all 6 questions. Strategic Order: I attempted Q3 at last since it was my least confident area. Surprisingly, it earned me 2.5 marks (my sixth question). And q5 earned me 1.5 marks(attempted 3rd question) was considered as optional This shows that attempting all questions can be beneficial, especially when facing a difficult paper. EVEN THOUGH ICAI SAYS IT CHECKS THE FIRST 4 QUESTIONS OUT OF 5 QUESTIONS(except Q1), IN REALITY IT CHECKS THE BEST 4. SO ATTEMPT THE BEST 4 FIRST AND THEN ATTEMPT THE 5TH QUESTION. Query no 1: When to attempt CFS/BC??? 📝 When to attempt CFS/BC in your exam depends on how tough it is and how well you've studied. 😅 But, in my opinion, it's a good idea to tackle them at the end or after 4. They can be time-consuming, and if your balance sheet doesn't tally after spending a lot of time, it can be stressful. So, save them for later. Query no 2: SHOULD WE USE SHORT FORMS??? 📝 A student may use short forms like PPE and NCA, especially if you're running low on time. I've seen students still get full marks even when using short forms. 😁 So, focus on finishing the paper rather than writing everything in full. Even if the examiners deduct marks for short forms, it's usually just 1- 2 marks while not completing the entire problem can cost you more marks.
