JOURNEY is a collaborative creation by director Andrei Bulatchik and sound designer DZA. A traveler played by marvelous Barbara Shilova embarks on a surreal voyage to a new world, limited to just one day before her inevitable demise. The project is driven by desire to explore and question stylistic boundaries of sci-fi and fashion films. Through symbolizm of water cycle it invites audiences to contemplate on the transience of life and its cyclical nature. JORNEY was shot in Moscow and Hong Kong to create a cityscape that pulsates with a fusion of beauty and imperfection. To enhance the essence of a future metropolis the project comprises traditional VFX techinques as well as emerging AI graphic techologies such as stable diffusion. This personal project took 3 years of passion and dedication to find its shape and bring you this experience. Beyond the noise of dusty streets and electric impulses, a whimsical world of technology and artificial intelligence hides, where the boundaries between humans and machines dissolve in the faint glow of a neon-lit future.
