Please can I get you both something to drink first?....she asked after she handed us the cards....then der norr I ask am say...May I please get the wine list??... I ask am politely as she hand me a card wey the lists of wine available then its prices dey top. I brush through quickly and thoroughly then say....So I’d like to order a bottle of red wine 🍾 to share for the table.We generally prefer medium-bodied new world wines that are nice and fruit-forward. Shinel hates Pinot Noir but other than that we’re totally flexible. I am considering a bottle like this [then I pointed to price] but would love to hear your suggestions based on our preferences.... As adey drive come Ridge Royal I buzzy Shinel some few questions wey dey concern her taste of wines. The server then pull the cork and pour a tiny taste of the wine for my glass inside 🍷 so say ago determine whether it’s corked or defective in any way; the purpose of this is not for you to determine whether or not you dey like the wine! I give the glass a few swirls, a deep sniff then a taste am. Typically, corked wine go give off unpleasant aromas of moldy newspaper, wet cardboard or dank basement. If something smells/tastes off,make you no hesitate for one second to tell your server that you think the wine may be corked.
