Set your vision for 5 years in the future, plan for 1 week ahead. Everyone does the opposite, they only look at where they want to be in the next week, in the club, on a date, at a party, they don't know where they want to be in 5 years. That's why they're broke and average. Look too far ahead, you won't get anything done today. Set that big goal, break it down into small steps, turn it into 2 tangible actions for the week/day. Keep it playa.

I want to ask you an honest question. Did you look stupid today? Or even yesterday? Even if just for a moment in time, did you stumble, walk into a room and forget what you're doing, do the weird left right basketball passing maneuver as both you and a stranger try to go around each other? If you did, you looked stupid. We all do. So why is your fear of looking stupid holding you back? The stupidest look people have is sitting there thinking people will think they look stupid if they try something new. Don't let your fear of looking stupid hold you back. You probably look stupid anyways, and you'll definitely look stupid contemplating how stupid you'd look if you did the thing.

As I typed that last paragraph of raw tipsy emotion, I couldn't help but think about this. There's something about embracing your mortality that makes you divine.

I'm gonna be honest with you guys. I scheduled this post. I thought of it, scheduled it, and it sent today. The day after I scheduled this, my friend died in a car accident. That's it. No goodbyes, nothing. The last conversation I had with him was about the people living below his apartment being noisy. All his hopes, dreams, his bucket list, never going to happen now. He's an international, so his father had to fly in to get his body and bring it home and to clean out his old place. We haven't seen his body. His housemate never got to say goodbye. He never realised that hearing his laugh through the wall was the last time he would hear it. His girlfriend never got to say goodbye to him. She never knew that kiss was the last one. His father never realized the last time he saw his son over Christmas was the last time he would see him. He never realised the hug at the airport was the last he would give him. He never realised that that video call where he discussed with his son about what car he should buy would be the last time he heard his voice. He didn't know that was the last "goodbye papa" he would ever hear. I never realised that the last conversation we would have is about the living below his apartment being noisy while he was trying to set the mood with his girlfriend. I never got the chance to have a smoke with him. I won't ever have the chance to spar with him and have him teach me a thing or two. That's it. Vamos. Gone. End of story. Full stop. Period. That's it. No goodbyes. I'm just talking to myself at this point. Life is short. Don't take it too seriously. Give that person a hug. Complement that stranger. Call that old relative you think about. Tell your friend you love them. Work on that project. Publish that novel or music piece. Fucking whatever dude. We're all going to die, either today or another day. Are you really going to die with a bucket list or are you going to go "Well that was a good life. I don't really have any regrets. I did the best I could with the time I had and resources that I was given to me. This was the hand that I was given, and Damn did I play it well." Your choice. I know I'm going to find that old book I had titled "Before I die" and strike off as many things as I can without jeopardising my future knowing I may or may not wake up tomorrow. VIVA LA VIDA and VIDA LA MUERTE! Without one there cannot be another, and our experiences are only so valuable because we are going to die. Now stop fucking staring at your phone and live your life you pussy.
