NDP SMS Scams - We have been alerted to SMS phishing scams, allegedly from NDP 22 Committee, asking the public to click on links to claim free gifts and/or credits. These SMSs are not sent by the NDP 22 Committee and neither are they doing giveaways at this moment. Please exercise caution to avoid becoming victims to scams. Thank you.

Members of the public have reported fake IRAS websites and SMS impersonating IRAS. The fake websites and SMS (leading to phishing websites) attempt to solicit personal information (including Singpass login details, credit card and bank account information).

ADVISORY ON PHISHING SMSES MENTIONING THE POLICE
The Police are aware of SMSes purportedly from "SG POLICE FORCE" being received by members of the public. In the SMSes, the recipients were told to click on a link as their bank account was suspected of being used by others.
These SMSes were not sent by the Police.

Have you been receiving advertisements for cleaning services via social messaging platforms š±?
ā ļøā ļø Beware of a new phishing scam involving malware installed on phones to steal banking credentials.
After indicating your intention to engage the advertised cleaning services, the scammers would inform you to make payment by downloading an application which is believed to contain malware. After installing the application on the phone, you would be directed to make payments via legitimate banking sites using your online banking credentials. The application would be able to access the banking credentials and SMSes sent to your phone.
Members of the public are advised to follow these crime prevention measures:

Download files directly from official and verified sources.

Ensure that your Information Communications Technology (ICT) devices are installed with updated anti-virus software and malware removal tools.

Ensure that your ICT devicesā operating systems and applications are updated regularly.
