Nine athletes namely M, N, O, P, Q, R, S, T and U stay in a same nine floored building, but not necessarily in the same order. Also each athlete plays different games i.e. Rugby, Rowing, Shooting, Badminton, Beach volleyball, Basketball, Hockey, Archery and Golf, but not necessarily in the same order. The ground floor is numbered 1 and the topmost floor is numbered 9. Out of nine athletes, four athletes M, P, R and T are the top four rankers in these games Basketball, Archery, Beach volleyball and Badminton, but not necessarily in the same order. They get top rank in these games when they play. No athlete got the same rank in any two games. When asked about their ranks in each of these games, they made the different statements.
Q stays on the second floor and plays Shooting. P gives statements about the rank is –“I am the first ranker in the game which is played by T. T is the first ranker in Beach volleyball. R is the first ranker in Archery”. T plays Badminton and stayed on an even-numbered floor. M stays on any even-numbered floor below the floor on which T stays. The one who plays Archery stays on the fourth floor. M gives statements about the rank is – “R is the fourth ranker in Beach volleyball. T is the fourth ranker in the game which is played by P. P is the first ranker in Basketball”. The one who plays Golf stays on the third floor. M does not play Basketball. There are two floors between the floors on which the athletes who play Hockey and Badminton stay. O plays Rowing. There are three floors between the floors on which O and S stay. P stays on a floor immediately above U’s floor. There is one floor between the floors on which R and S stay. R does not play Golf. The one who plays Rugby stays on the topmost floor. R does not stay on the ground floor. T gives statements about the rank is – “M is the third ranker in the game which is played by the athlete who stays on 8th floor. I am the fourth ranker in Basketball. R gives statements about the rank is- “I am the first ranker in Badminton. T is the fourth ranker in Beach volleyball. M is the third ranker in Basketball”. P is the second ranker in Archery”. It is known that each one of them made a false and a true statement alternately and in total, they made equal number of true and false statements.

There is a building in which seven shopkeeper – M, N, O, P, Q, R and S sell grocery things on separate floors of a seven storey-ed building, but not necessarily in the same order. The ground floor of the building is numbered 1, the floor above it 2 and so on until the topmost floor is numbered 7. Each shopkeeper sells different grocery things – Sugar, Wheat, Tomato, Potato, Onion, Rice and Pulse, but not necessarily in the same order. Each shopkeeper sells 7 different weights of their grocery things and it lies between 1kg to 10 kg.
The weight of Potato is more than 2 kg. The total weight of Onion and Rice is 10 kg. The shopkeeper who sells Potato lives on floor numbered four. M does not live on the lowermost floor. M lives on any odd numbered floor below the one who sells Potato. Only two shopkeepers live between M and the shopkeeper who sells Pulse. Only one shopkeeper lives between N and R. The total weight of Sugar is square of the total weight of Onion while the total weight of Pulse is square of the total weight of Potato. R lives on an even numbered floor and does not sell Potato. Only three shopkeepers live between the persons who sell Sugar and Tomato respectively. The person who sells Sugar lives on any floor above the N’s floor. The person who sells Sugar does not live on the topmost floor. S lives on an even numbered floor but neither immediately above nor immediately below the floor of M. O sdoes not sell Sugar or Tomato. Only two shopkeepers live between P and the one who sells Potato. The person who sells Onion lives on the floor immediately above the floor of the person who sells Rice. The difference between the weight of the Tomato and Rice is 2 kg. The floor number and the weight of grocery things is same for the person O.

आलू का भार 2 किग्रा से अधिक है। प्याज और चावल का कुल भार 10 किग्रा है। जो दुकानदार आलू बेचता उसकी दुकान मंजिल संख्या 4 पर है। M की दुकान सबसे निचली मंजिल पर नहीं है। M की दुकान उस व्यक्ति की दुकान से नीचे किसी विषम संख्या वाली मंजिल पर नहीं है जो आलू बेचता है। केवल दो दुकानदार M और उस दुकानदार के मध्य हैं जो दालें बेचता है। केवल एक दुकानदार N और R के मध्य रहता है। चीनी का भार प्याज के कुल भार का वर्ग है जबकि दालों का कुल भार आलू के कुल भार का वर्ग है। R की दुकान किसी सम संख्या वाली मंजिल पर है और वह आलू नहीं बेचता है। केवल तीन दुकानदारों की दुकान उन व्यक्तियों के मध्य है जो चीनी और टमाटर बेचते हैं। वह व्यक्ति जो चीनी बेचता है उसकी दुकान उस मंजिल के ऊपर किसी मंजिल पर है जिस मंजिल पर N की दुकान है। वह व्यक्ति जो चीनी बेचता है उसकी दुकान ऊपरी मंजिल पर नहीं है। S की दुकान एक सम संख्या वाली मंजिल पर है लेकिन उस मंजिल के न तो ठीक ऊपर न ठीक नीचे जिस पर M की दुकान है। O, चीनी या टमाटर नहीं बेचता है। केवल दो दुकानदार P और आलू बेचने वाले व्यक्ति के मध्य रहते हैं। वह व्यक्ति जो प्याज बेचता है उसकी दुकान उस मंजिल से ठीक ऊपर है जिस पर चावल बेचने वाला व्यक्ति रहता है। टमाटर और चावल के भार के मध्य 2 किग्रा का अंतर है। व्यक्ति O के लिए मंजिल की संख्या और किराने की वस्तु का भार बराबर है।

There is an apartment in Kolkata. In evening, their eight members have decided to play some games around a round table facing to the center, so their eight members are G, H, I , J , K , L M and N . Each person has different pets viz; Sparrow, Collared dove, Zebra, Pigeon, Squirrels, Buck, Rabbit and Parrot, but not necessarily in the same order and these 8 members live on different floor from floor number 1 to 8.
N lives on top most floor and G lives on first floor. The one who has Pigeons lives on 2 floor. The person who has collared dove, lives on fifth floor and sits third to the right of M. I lives on 3rd floor and sits immediate neighbour of M. The person who has Pigeon sits second to the right of I. H sits third to the right of N. N’s pet is neither collared dove nor Pigeon. Only one person sits between I and the person who has Zebra. The one who has Sparrow , lives on immediate floor below from the one has Parrot. G and L are immediate neighbours of each other. Neither G’s nor L’s has Collared dove. The person who has Parrot sits second to the right of G. Two persons sit between J and the person who has Squirrels. J has not Collared dove. The one who has Zebra lives on 6th floor. The person who has Sparrow is not an immediate neighbour of the person who has Collared dove. The person who has Buck sits second to the left of G. The one who has Buck, lives on just floor above from on which floor I lives.

कलकत्ता में एक अपार्टमेंट है। शाम को उसके आठ सदस्य एक गोल मेज के चारों तरफ बैठ कर तथा केंद्र की ओर उन्मुख होकर कोई खेल खेलने का निर्णय लेते हैं। अपार्टमेंट के आठ सदस्य G, H, I , J , K , L M और N हैं। प्रत्येक व्यक्ति के पास अलग-अलग पालतू पशु हैं अर्थात गौरैया, कोलार्ड कबूतर, ज़ेबरा, कबूतर, गिलहरी, बक, खरगोश और तोता, लेकिन आवश्यक नहीं कि इसी क्रम में हो और ये आठ सदस्य मंजिल संख्या 1 से 8 तक अलग-अलग मंजिलों पर रहते हैं।
N सबसे ऊपरी मंजिल पर रहता है और G पहली मंजिल पर रहता है। जिस व्यक्ति के पास कबूतर हैं वह मंजिल संख्या 2 पर रहता है। जिस व्यक्ति के पास कोलार्ड कबूतर है वह पांचवीं मंजिल पर रहता है और M के दाएं से तीसरे स्थान पर बैठता है। I मंजिल संख्या 3 पर रहता है और M का निकटतम पड़ोसी है। जिस व्यक्ति के पास कबूतर है वह I के दाएं से दूसरे स्थान पर बैठता है। H, N के दाएं से तीसरे स्थान पर रहता है। N का पालतू पशु न तो कोलार्ड कबूतर और न ही कबूतर है। केवल एक व्यक्ति I और उस व्यक्ति के मध्य बैठता है जिसके पास ज़ेबरा है। जिस व्यक्ति के पास गौरैया है , वह उस व्यक्ति से ठीक नीचे वाली मंजिल पर रहता है जिसके पास तोता है। G और L एक-दूसरे के निकटतम पड़ोसी हैं। न तो G’ और न ही L के पास कोलार्ड कबूतर है। जिस व्यक्ति के पास तोता है G के दाएं से दूसरे स्थान पर बैठा है। दो व्यक्ति J और उस व्यक्ति के मध्य बैठते हैं जिसके पास गिलहरी है। J के पास कोलार्ड कबूतर नहीं है। जिस व्यक्ति के पास ज़ेबरा है वह मंजिल संख्या 6 पर रहता है। वह व्यक्ति जिसके पास गौरैया है वह उस व्यक्ति का निकटतम पड़ोसी नहीं है जिसके पास कोलार्ड कबूतर है। जिस व्यक्ति के पास बक है वह G के बाएँ से दूसरे स्थान पर बैठा है। वह व्यक्ति जिसके पास बक है उस मंजिल से ठीक ऊपर वाली मंजिल पर रहता है जिस I रहता है।

बारह व्यक्ति दो समांतर पंक्तियों में बैठे हैं, प्रत्येक पंक्ति में 6 व्यक्ति इस प्रकार बैठे हैं कि सन्निकट बैठे व्यक्तियों के मध्य की दूरी समान है। पहली पंक्ति में K, L, M, N, G और H बैठे हैं और उनमें से सभी दक्षिण की ओर उन्मुख हैं, तथा दूसरी पंक्ति में I, U, W, X, Y, और Z बैठे हैं और उनमें से सभी उत्तर की ओर उन्मुख हैं। इसलिए दी गई बैठक व्यवस्था में एक पंक्ति में बैठा प्रत्येक व्यक्ति दूसरी पंक्ति में बैठे प्रत्येक व्यक्ति की ओर उन्मुख है। प्रत्येक व्यक्ति ने अलग-अलग रंगों की टी-शर्ट पहनी है। उनमें से सभी अलग-अलग कम्पनियों में कार्यरत हैं अर्थात इन्फ़ी, विप्रो, एचसीएल, एलजी, लेनोवो, टीसीएस, रेड्मी, एचपीसीएल, नोकिया, भेल, बीईएल और बॉश।
वह व्यक्ति जो पंक्ति 1 के अंतिम बाएँ सिरे पर बैठा है,एचसीएल में काम करता है। H ने स्लेटी रंग की टी-शर्ट पहनी है। I, X के दाएं से तीसरे स्थान पर बैठा है और उसने गहरे नीले रंग की शर्ट पहनी है। L और K क्रमश: विप्रो और इन्फ़ी में काम करते हैं। न तो I और न ही X अंतिम सिरे पर बैठे हैं। वह व्यक्ति जो K के ठीक बाएँ बैठा है, लेनोवो में काम करता है। G, X की ओर उन्मुख है और उसने नीले रंग की शर्ट पहनी है। जो व्यक्ति U की ओर उन्मुख है उसने पीले रंग की टी-शर्ट पहनी हुई है। G की ओर उन्मुख व्यक्ति का निकटतम पड़ोसी बीईएल में काम करता है। N, Z और Y ने क्रमश: काली, गुलाबी और नारंगी रंग की टी-शर्ट पहनी है। पंक्ति 2 के एक अंतिम सिरे पर बैठा व्यक्ति नोकिया में काम करता है। H, I की ओर उन्मुख नहीं है है और H किसी भी अंतिम सिरे पर नहीं बैठा है। H, G का निकटतम पड़ोसी नहीं है। U एक अंतिम सिरे पर बैठा है और उसने भूरे रंग की टी-शर्ट पहनी है। वह व्यक्ति जो M की ओर उन्मुख है, एचपीसीएल में काम करता है। L ने हरे रंग की टी-शर्ट पहनी है। U और Y के मध्य केवल दो व्यक्ति बैठे हैं। काले रंग की टी-शर्ट पहने हुए व्यक्ति की ओर उन्मुख व्यक्ति रेड्मी में काम करता है। Y, H की ओर उन्मुख नहीं है और उसके निकटतम पड़ोसी ने बैंगनी रंग की टी-शर्ट पहनी है। M और L के मध्य दो व्यक्ति बैठे हैं। M, G की निकटतम पड़ोसी नहीं है। W, H की ओर उन्मुख नहीं है। पंक्ति 1 के अंतिम सिरों पर बैठे व्यक्तियों ने सफ़ेद और पीली रंग की टी-शर्ट पहनी है। K, M का निकटतम पड़ोसी नहीं है। W ने लाल रंग की टी-शर्ट पहनी है। X, भेल में काम करता है। एलजी में कार्यरत व्यक्ति ने काली रंग की टी-शर्ट पहनी है। H,टीसीएस में काम करता है।

Twelve people are sitting in two parallel rows containing six people each, in such a way that there is an equal distance between adjacent persons. In row 1, K, L, M, N, G and H are seated and all of them are facing south, and in row 2 I, U, W, X, Y, and Z are sitting and all of them are facing north. Therefore, in the given seating arrangement each member seated in a row faces another member of the other row. Each person has worn different colors T-shirt. All of them work in different company i.e. Infy, Wipro, HCL, LG, Lenovo, TCS, Redmi, HPCL, Nokia, BHEL, BEL and Bosch.
The one, who sits at extreme left end of Row 1, works in HCL. H has worn Grey colored T-shirt. I sits third to right of X and has worn Navy blue T-shirt. L and K work in Wipro and Infy respectively. Neither I nor X sits at extreme ends. The one who sits immediate left of K, works in Lenovo. G faces X and worn Blue T-shirt. The one who faces U has worn Yellow T-shirt. The immediate neighbor of the one, who faces G, works in BEL. N, Z and Y have worn Black, pink and orange colored T-shirt respectively. The one who sits at extreme end of row 2, works in Nokia. H does not face I and H does not sit at any of the extreme ends. H is not an immediate neighbor of G. U sits at one of the extreme ends and has worn Brown colored T-shirt. The one who faces M, works in HPCL. L has worn Green T-shirt. Only two people sit between U and Y. The one who faces the one who has worn Black T-shirt, works in Redmi. Y does not face H and his immediate neighbor has worn Violet colored T-shirt. Two persons sit between M and L. M is not a immediate neighbor of G. W does not face H.
