Glencar receives international acclaim for highly sustainable construction practices at Bardon Hill project in Leicestershire.
By BDC News Team; Nov 23,2023.
New York, United States, Nov. 23, 2023 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) 4 hours ago.
The Global Construction Lubricants Market Size To Grow from USD 14.60 Billion in 2022 to USD 20.45 Billion by 2032, at a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 4.7% during the forecast period.
The Construction Lubricants Market Size was valued at USD 14.60 Billion in 2022 and the Worldwide Construction Lubricants Market Size is expected to reach USD 20.45 Billion by 2032, according to a research report published by Spherical Insights & Consulting. Companies Covered: Royal Dutch Shell, ExxonMobil, PetroChina Company, British Petroleum (BP), Chevron Corporation, Sinopec, Indian Oil Corporation, BP, Fuchs Petrolub SE, QALCO, Schaeffer Manufacturing Co., Addinol Lube Oil GmbH, and Other Key Vendors.
Construction lubricants are specialized lubricants that are applied to moving parts and surfaces in the construction industry to reduce wear and friction. In a variety of construction equipments and equipment, they are crucial for ensuring smooth operations, extending equipment life, and boosting efficiency. Construction lubricants are designed to withstand the harsh circumstances seen on construction sites, including heavy weights, intense heat, and difficult working conditions.
COVID 19 Impact
During the early stages of the COVID-19 epidemic, a lot of construction projects were placed on hold or delayed due to lockdowns, travel restrictions, and safety concerns. As a result, the market for construction tools and machinery shrank, which in turn had an impact on the demand for construction lubricants. The fall in building operations has a negative effect on the sales of lubricants used in construction machinery. The pandemic disrupted worldwide supply chains, which had an impact on the production and distribution of construction lubricants. Lockdown procedures and transit restrictions caused a delay in raw material supply, which also hindered the manufacturing and delivery operations. The availability of construction lubricants on the market was subsequently impacted by this.
The global construction industry has expanded as a result of urbanization, infrastructure development, and industrialization in emerging economies. As construction activity increased the requirement for machinery and equipment, construction lubricants were also in higher demand. The development of more advanced and high-performing machinery is a result of these improvements in construction machinery and equipment. These machines usually require specialized lubricants in order to ensure peak performance, extended equipment life, and reduced downtime. Government programs and investments in infrastructure projects like roads, bridges, airports, and smart cities have raised the need for construction equipment and lubricants.
Chinese company penetrates Ethiopian market to supply plastic piping system products.
Source: Xinhua| 2023-11-20 21:55:00|
Chinese RIIFO, the multinational manufacturer of plastic piping solutions, on Monday announced its entry into the Ethiopian market with a setting up of a world-class plumbing manufacturing plant in Adama, capital of the Oromia regional state, in Ethiopia.
RIIFO has partnered with the Ethiopian EZM Trade and Investment company to set up a 14.5 million U.S. dollar advanced plumbing system manufacturing plant in Adama Industrial Park.
"The strategic partnership aims to transform the production of high-quality and eco-friendly integrated plastic piping system products, dedicated to enhancing water hygiene and construction efficiency in Ethiopia," said Chief Executive Officer of the EZM Trade and Investment Company Esmelalem Zewde in a press briefing Monday.
The new plumbing system manufacturing plant, which will be officially inaugurated this week with the brand name RIIFO, will start producing high-quality PPR, HDPE, PVC pipes and conduits with all fittings and accessories.
The plant will have an annual production capacity of up to 2 million metric tons of PPR pipes, 1.9 million pieces of PPR fittings, 1 million metric tons of PVC drainage pipes and 900,000 pieces of PVC fittings plus more than 3.5 million metric tons of PVC conduits pipes, according to a statement released during the briefing.
"We have partnered to manufacture high-quality RIFFO Brand pipes and fittings with an ultimate goal to substitute imports and partly supply to the international market in particular to neighboring countries," Zewde told the media.
With 27 years of experience and production of high-quality plumbing solutions in China and 100 other countries, RIIFO is set to penetrate the African market by opening up new factories in Ethiopia and South Africa.
"Our company actively partners and collaborates with local investors worldwide. Our goal is to bring our state-of-the-art technology and expertise from our 70 branches across 100 countries to Ethiopia, and help the local economy thrive," said Jason Cheng, RIIFO's general manager of international business, during the briefing.
The new plant, which will be about 100 km southeast of Addis Ababa, the Ethiopian capital, will take about six months for construction.
"Based on our assessment, Ethiopia will offer RIIFO one of the biggest markets in Africa owing to the numerous ongoing and potential construction projects across different parts of the country," Cheng told Xinhua, adding that RIIFO is committed to fulfilling local demands with international standards and environmental requirements.

Sudan fighting destroys strategic Khartoum bridge. AFP , Saturday 11 Nov 2023.
A strategic Nile bridge in Sudan's capital has collapsed, the army and rival paramilitaries said in separate statements Saturday, trading blame for its destruction nearly seven months into their devastating war.
Since April, forces loyal to army chief Abdel Fattah al-Burhan have been at war with the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) commanded by his former deputy, Mohamed Hamdan Daglo.
Witnesses reported "clear signs of destruction on the Shambat Bridge" which crosses the White Nile and connecting Khartoum's sister cities of Khartoum North and Omdurman.
Images posted online, which AFP was unable to immediately verify, showed a section of the bridge about halfway across the river had disappeared. Vehicles, apparently damaged, lay on the part of the bridge still standing.
The army said in a statement that "the rebel militia destroyed the Shambat Bridge early this morning... adding a new crime to their record."
The paramilitary force denied the accusation.
In August, airstrikes and artillery fire launched by army forces loyal to Burhan hit the Shambat Bridge.
Their paramilitary rivals had used the bridge as a supply route, a local resident and a military expert told AFP.
Massive fire.
Intense fighting took place over the week in Khartoum and its surrounding areas, as well as the vast western region of Darfur, where some of the bloodiest clashes have taken place.
On Thursday, witnesses told AFP that corpses in military uniforms lined the streets of a district of Khartoum, while a shell hit Al-Nau hospital in the north of Omdurman, the last operational medical facility in the area, killing an employee.
North of the Sudanese capital Khartoum on Tuesday, a massive fire ignited at an RSF-controlled oil refinery which the paramilitaries blamed on an army air strike, though the army said "a fuel tanker belonging to the militia exploded".
This comes as Sudan's warring parties failed to negotiate a ceasefire during the latest talks held this week in Saudi Arabia.
The UN warned Friday of soaring human rights violations in Sudan's Darfur region, where the RSF has claimed control of all but one major city.
"We continue to receive unrelenting and appalling reports of sexual and gender-based violence, enforced disappearance, arbitrary detentions and grave violations of human and children's rights," said Clementine Nkweta-Salami, the UN humanitarian coordinator for Sudan.
Since fighting broke out on April 15, more than 10,000 people have been killed in Sudan, according to a conservative estimate from the Armed Conflict Location & Event Data project.
About six million people have been uprooted from their homes, according to UN figures.

Federal Cassation No. 169077: Late Delivery of Housing by Real Estate Companies
Late delivery of housing by real estate companies is a common problem.
In a recent case, the court ruled on the remedies available to homebuyers when real estate companies deliver their homes late. The court held that homebuyers are entitled to liquidated damages. The court also held that homebuyers are entitled to terminate the sales agreement and receive a full refund of their purchase price, plus interest.
This ruling is a significant victory for homebuyers, and it sends a strong message to real estate companies that they will be held accountable for late delivery.
How is the judgment?
The judgment is a positive step forward for homebuyers in the fight against late delivery of housing by real estate companies. The court's recognition of the liquidated damages clause in the sales agreement and its affirmation of homebuyers' right to terminate the sales agreement and receive a full refund are important victories for consumers.
