Repost from The Second Poetry
Am I to linger in silence,
As your world unfurls without me?
So utterly inconsequential,
To merit not a fraction of your gaze?

In 2014, physicist Marc-Antoine Fardin published a study showing that, according to fluid mechanics rules cat becomes a liquid when settled into a1 container.
He cited photographs of cats in jars, bakets and salad bowls and concluded that cats have the property of both solid and liquid objects.
His paper later won the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2017.

Liberty Spikes
According to historical accounts, warriors in ancient Britain (500-1000BCE) wore their hair in spikes to intimidate their opponents They used lime water, which both bleached their hair and created a rigid,spike-like structure.
In many traditions, a warrior was only allowed to wear these spikes after slaying an enemy, making the hairstyle a visible warning of their battle experience.
The style was revived by punk rockers in the late 197Os as an anti-authority image with figures like Sid Vicious
and Johnny Rotten often associated with popularizing the look.

There are plenty of people who have started cults and religious movements that could be mentioned, but L Ron Hubbard stands out as an icon for his creative use of Mind Control.
Hubbard is best known as a science fiction writer and founder of Scientology. He is quoted as prophetically saying "If you want to make a lot of money start your own religion." and he did just that.
Hubbard invented a process he called Dianetics which he proposed was able to clear people of all their worldly and spritual problems and had the potential to give them super powers of perception and influence.
Through his Church, Scientology, members would go through lengthy and expensive trainings called 'auditing' to remove 'engrams' from their nervous system that they claimed to be the origin of all human problems.
Being a creative and prolific writer, Hubbard and his followers, created a complex and compelling process that would lead its members into a video game-like world view in which they would zap hindering engrams and release 'Operating Thetans' from the psyche so that each person could be free to fulfill their true potential.

The entire Grand Theft Auto franchise exists because of a bug in a 1996 racing game called Race'n'Chase. The police Al was supposed to just pull you over, but a glitch made them hyper aggresive, trying to ram the player off the road. Playtesters loved the " angry cops" so much that the developers scrapped the racing game and built GTA around the chaos. @ReddScope

Society has often tried to place women into two groups. Beauty or brains. The media often portrays women in STEM as "unfeminine". It's a bit funny.
The woman considered to be the most beautiful in movies was also one of the contributors for the invention of wireless technologies we use today.
Hedy Lamar did self taught engineering studies after leaving her first marriage. Her work on spread spectrum technology later became the foundation for modern wifi, bleutooth and GPS technologies.
She was a major MGM star in the 1930s,frequently typecast as the exotic and mysterious seductress.

"Hark, old knave.
art thou a bugger? Surely yes, tis cock you crave.
thine breeches art spoiled
whilst questing, thou toiled
to find ye man, that hast had thine honour soiled
And made thine blood boiled
When thou saw meself yonder in ye old shoppe
thou blade did naught but tremble and drop
thou quiver in fright, and run from ye fight
to defend thou honour, of your mother, that I ploughed last night."

Long before rap battles, there was "flyting" the exchange of witty, insulting verses. The verbal throwdowns were popular in England and Scotland from the 5th to 16th centuries.
It's a poetic competition of the Scottish makaris (poets) of the 15th and 16th centuries, in which two highly skilled rivals engaged in a contest of verbal abuse.
