💰PARLAY!!!💰 Pacers -9.5 completed the parlay with Arizona +120 for a TSP Live Portfolio gain of +0.32 units. Yesterday the free TSP Live Portfolio action on Cincinnati +116 helped limit the portfolio damage to only -0.07 units. Getting questions on whether people should take Toronto in-play given the price. My answer would be, absolutely not. The action for the portfolio of 0.14 units is probably far more than I should have dedicated to the Leafs. Some teams just defy stats and value calculations.

HORSE RACE WAGERING I know the success of my horse wagering content, especially during the Triple Crown in year's past, along with the consistently positive reviews and requests for the TSP Horse Power Ratings makes non-horse racing bettors interested in the opportunities. The problem is picking up horse racing is not as simple as handicapping a binary event like a tennis match or NFL game...where you either pick Team A +5 or Team B -5. In horse racing you are essentially trying not just to pick the winning horse, but layout a projected order of finish to wager on exactas, trifectas, superfectas and even the newer Super High Five. There are also wagers where you are trying to select the winners of multiple races like Daily Doubles, Pick 3's, Pick 4's, Pick 5's and Pick 6's. Yes, you can simply bet which horse you like to win, place (come in 1st or 2nd) or show (come in 1st, 2nd or 3rd). However, the big money tends to be in the exotic wagers as laid out in the paragraph above. If you are new to horse race wagering, the TSP Power Ratings won't be of much help to you. The ratings are not a way to blind bet the races. The ratings help handicappers find value in the horses. Horse race wagering is parimutuel which means the odds are not fixed but based on how the money is bet in a pool (and what money remains after the track takes their cut of the betting volume in the pool). So, it is important to watch the odds leading up to a race, to handicap that race based on your own review of the horses and their stats and then use the TSP Power Ratings as a filter to develop your wagers. Sure, there are some who will use the top 2-4 power rated horses to setup Pick 3's, and this strategy has shown success, but the real success with the TSP Power Ratings comes when using them as a filter within your handicapping of the races INCONJUNCTION with watching the odds movement to find values live and as the prices change. Back during COVID I covered horse racing in depth on a daily basis. It was the only thing to wager on and I got a lot of converts to become horse bettors. Perhaps here and there I will inject some handicapping into the Telegram channel for horse races. Once NBA and NHL wind down and we get to those quieter summer months, it would be a perfect time to have a featured handicap of a race here or there. Hopefully that will help clarify some of the ins and outs of horse race wagering. Stay tuned! Good luck!
