Whenever she delivers punk meets goth meets princess vibes, we can't help but stan. Right in time for the holidays, the Sour singer is gearing up to release a collaboration with CASETiFY that celebrates her iconic style. Featuring five phone cases and a metal phone strap, the Hardened Hearts cases call out all the things she's known and loved for. "Olivia's hand-picked collection represents the juxtaposition of softness and strength, pairing beautiful designs with tough as nails protection," Wes Ng, co-founder, and CEO of CASETiFY said in a press statement. Olivia served as a creative director and handpicked the collection. Olivia Rodrigo and Casetifyโ€™s collaboration will debut with the "The Hardened Hearts" collection, featuring five pop-punk-inspired phone cases, which were all made from up to 65% recycled and durable materials from Re/Casetifyโ€™s technology that turns old phone cases into new product. With many of the phone cases paying homage to Rodrigo's debut Sour album, they're the ideal companion for her upcoming global tour. The new collection includes a chained-up "Broken Ego, Broken Heart" case, ranging in price from $45 to $75, and the "DNT ANSWER" phone case, which resembles the exterior of an early-aughts cell phone. There is also the "Butterfly Town" case, coming in a purple all-over butterfly print, the shattered mirror "Broken Butterfly" custom case (priced between $40 and $70), and an "Anti-Poster Child" case. Some of the cases in this collection can also be customized with names, monograms, and more in an Olivia-esque font. Other styles also include a metal phone strap ($55) to easily tote around your new Sour-style phone.

Stepping into a DMV when you're about to take your first driver's test, while nerve wracking, is something of a milestone. And Olivia Rodrigo has been hitting milestones with frequency this year: her first album SOUR debuted at the top of the charts in May after the success of three previously released singles, most notably the viral "drivers license" (hence the DMV locale and its "interesting vibes.") Her pop stardom may seem sudden, but Rodrigo has been entranced by music and songwriting for the majority of her 18 years, as if she's been observing the right moves from the backseat of the car until it was time for her to get behind the wheel. Rodrigo and her band take on the Tiny Desk mentality as they experiment with arrangements throughout this performance, embracing new sounds for her songs. The set begins with an acoustic version of the pop-punk-ish single "good 4 u," and a similar setup continues with the addition of an echoey, electric guitar in "traitor." "drivers license" features only Rodrigo and her keyboard, a shift from the recorded version well-known for Dan Nigro's production and the ever-present beeping of a car door sensor. "deja vu" starts softly with just an acoustic guitar until the chorus ramps up to a full band after she exclaims, "Do you get deja vu, huh?" SOUR tells the story of a first heartbreak, one that inspires an intense anguish most accessible when you're a teenager. That open wound, empty-chest feeling of a breakup, especially when you're as young as Rodrigo, is difficult to shake. The album allowed listeners to bask in Rodrigo's heartache as if it were their own, but as she dances around an empty DMV and laughs along to a song about betrayal, she proves that time heals all wounds. ๐—–๐—ฅ & ๐—™๐—ข๐—ฅ ๐— ๐—ข๐—ฅ๐—˜: npr.org ๐—ฆ๐—˜๐—ง ๐—Ÿ๐—œ๐—ฆ๐—ง โ€ข "good 4 u" โ€ข "traitor" โ€ข "drivers license" โ€ข "deja vu" ๐— ๐—จ๐—ฆ๐—œ๐—–๐—œ๐—”๐—ก๐—ฆ โ€ข Olivia Rodrigo โ€“ vocals, guitar, keys โ€ข Heather Baker - guitars โ€ข Hayley Brownell - drums, guitars โ€ข Arianna Powell - guitars โ€ข Moa Munoz - bass, guitar ๐—–๐—ฅ๐—˜๐——๐—œ๐—ง๐—ฆ โ€ข Video: David Clair, Joe McGarry โ€ข Audio: Paul Hager โ€ข AP: Derek Griesbach โ€ข Director of Photography: Matthias Schubert โ€ข Camera Operator: Stephen St. Peter โ€ข Gaffer: Joe Escandell โ€ข Color: Henry Santos ๐—ง๐—œ๐—ก๐—ฌ ๐——๐—˜๐—ฆ๐—ž ๐—ง๐—˜๐—”๐—  โ€ข Producer: Bob Boilen โ€ข Video Producer: Maia Stern โ€ข Audio Mastering: Josh Rogosin โ€ข Tiny Production Team: Bobby Carter, Kara Frame, Sofie Hernandez-Simeonidis โ€ข Executive Producer: Keith Jenkins โ€ข Senior VP, Programming: Anya Grundmann
