slow week overall, with a lot of waiting. but we had a 2RR for the Day on EU nice quality Trade with confluence along the Way
Trading requires:
1. A good amount of patience
2. A healthy dose of acceptance
3. A willingness to trust your process more than your emotions
4. A commitment to the long game
Here I'm only referencing the backtesting part , there's the forward testing , effective journaling , psychology Barriers and how to overcome them also
Most of the guys that I have the 1-1 they don't even know where to start , but once you have a clean and define strategy with the right guidance it's going to get easier and you see improvements on 3/4 sessions as long as you put the work
This will help you :
- know if your edge is profitable
- trust your strategy and analysis
- cut what doesn't work
- improve your discipline
- improve your win rate and your strategy
- make you more profitable
- accelerate your learning curve (because you will have more data in little time) and not only forward testing
I see a lot of questions regarding backtesting , people tend to overlook this part of trading.
You got have a system , rules so you can test the edge.
Looking on trading view only won't cut it , using a professional tool to backtest and having a big sample size so you can see over that long period of time your win rate , Average trades P/ week, P/ month and P/year , the percentage that you average and every other aspects that you can add to this. Sample size I'm not saying like 10/20 trades. I have over 350+ trades that I backtested , made a screenshot , journaled and log it into my backtesting sheet. I will add more over the course of months so i can have a bigger sample size
Seeing these type of messages messages mean more to me than any win on the market that's for sure ✅
