A few success stories I have witnessed by the blessings of God: 1. A candidate with 1 year of job gap in career was offered the position of Senior Executive at Accenture because of his skills, determination, hard work and performance in the interview. 2. One candidate with 6 months of career gap received offer letter from Genpact within 1 week of application. 3. 5 CA qualified fresher candidates received the offer letter from Genpact within 2 weeks of application. All the above happened because of the determination, regular follow-ups, conversations, patience and applying with the right skills as required as per the job description. Now, a few failure stories as well: 1. More than 10 candidates got rejected at resume shortlisting round by HR as their resumes were not as per the required job description. 2. Around 6 candidates rejected even after being suggested what to prepare for the interview (spoon-feeding!), due to low confidence, not prepared correctly or not skilled as per the job description. 3. Received 150+ resumes for Genpact opening but was able to forward only 20 resumes - not as per the requirements. For those whom I'm not able to connect as discussed before: Currently occupied with previous commitments hence will try to connect this coming weekend for sure. Note- 1. Focus seriously on yourself if you wish to apply and get through the desired job, rather than focusing on asking for references, applying anywhere you see vacancies; these won't help anyway and restrict your candidature for that particular company for few months in future. 2. Communicate clearly your skills, qualification, requirements etc 3. Communicate through conversations, rather than just asking about job reference or follow-ups. Take care!
