Ibn Rajab رحمه الله said: "If the slave of Allāh prefects his Tawheed and his sincerity for Allāh and he establishes/fulfils all its conditions with his heart, and his tongue and his limbs then forgiveness for his past sins becomes obligatory." Shaykh Khâlid al-Hâyik said: Hanbal said: Abû ‘Abdillâh narrated to me that he said: Zayd ibn Hubâb narrated to us that he said: ‘Alî ibn Mas’adah narrated to me, from Qatâdah, from Anas, that the Messenger of Allâh ﷺ said: “Every son of Âdam sins, and the best of sinners are those who repent.” Abû ‘Abdillâh Ahmad ibn Hanbal said: “This Hadîth is rejected.” I [al-Hâyik] say: Its origin is from the Isrâ’îliyyât. [END QUOTE] BENEFIT: This hadîth was also rejected by at-Tirmidhî and al-Bayhaqî, and it was weakened by ibn ‘Adî, ibn Hibbân, ibn al-Qaysarânî, Sulaymân al-‘Alwân, Abû ‘Alî al-Hasanî, Mustafâ al-‘Adawî and others.

Magnitude of His Forgiveness ✨ 'Abd Al-Malik ibn Marwān (d.86H), gave a touching sermon one day. He stopped midway and began to weep, saying: يا رب إن ذنوبي عظيمة، وإن قليل عفوك أعظم منها، فامح بقليل عفوك عظيم ذنوبي "O Rabb, my sins are immense and yet a speck of your forgiveness is truly greater, so erase with a speck of your forgiveness the greatness of my sins." When Al-Hasan al-Basrī was informed of these words, he too wept and said: لو كان كلام يكتب بالذهب لكتبت هذا "If words could be written in gold, I would write this." • تهذيب التهذيب (6/374)

Time is Tight 🕚 اغتنموا ساعات اللّيل والنّهار، بِما يقربكم إلى العزيز الغفار، فإنّ الأعمار تُطوى سريعاُ، والأوقات تمضي جميعاً، وكأنّها ساعة من نهار "Get the most out of the hours of the night and day, in a way that brings you closer to Allāh, the Almighty and Forgiving. Al-An'am 6:120 وَذَرُوا۟ ظَٰهِرَ ٱلْإِثْمِ وَبَاطِنَهُۥٓۚ إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَكْسِبُونَ ٱلْإِثْمَ سَيُجْزَوْنَ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَقْتَرِفُونَ English - Mohsin Khan/Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali Leave (O mankind, all kinds of) sin, open and secret. Narrated Abu Huraira: I heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) saying, "The good deeds of any person will not make him enter Paradise." (i.e., None can enter Paradise through his good deeds.) They (the Prophet's companions) said, 'Not even you, O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)?' He said, "Not even myself, unless Allah bestows His favor and mercy on me." So be moderate in your religious deeds and do the deeds that are within your ability: and none of you should wish for death, for if he is a good doer, he may increase his good deeds, and if he is an evil doer, he may repent to Allah." It’s mentioned that al-Bukhārī (رحمه الله) stated in his “Sahīh” (1/18-19): And there is fear for the one who persists in hypocrisy and sin without repenting, because Allāh says: وَلَمْ يُصِرُّوا۟ عَلَىٰ مَا فَعَلُوا۟ وَهُمْ يَعْلَمُونَ “And do not persist in what (wrong) they have done, while they know.” [3:135] Ibn Rajab al-Hanbalī (رحمه الله) commented on this and said: “This means that if one persists in sin and the various types of hypocrisy without repenting, there is the fear that the one who does this may be punished by having his faith taken away altogether, so that he becomes a complete hypocrite and meets a bad end — we seek refuge with Allāh from that — as it is said that sin is the way to kufr.” — Refer to “Fath al-Bārī” (1/181).

[ وقد اجتمع في هذه الآية الرجاء والخوف . وهذه كقوله تعالى : ( نبئ عبادي أني أنا الغفور الرحيم وأن عذابي هو العذاب الأليم ) [ الحجر : 49 ، 50 ] يقرن هذين الوصفين كثيرا في مواضع متعددة من القرآن ; ليبقى العبد بين الرجاء والخوف .] In this ayah, Allah has brought together hope and fear. And this is like His statement: [نَبِّئْ عِبَادِي أَنِّي أَنَا الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ * وَأَنَّ عَذَابِي هُوَ الْعَذَابُ الْأَلِيمُ] Tell My worshipers that I am Forgiving and Merciful * and that My punishment is a painful punishment [15:49-50] Allah frequently mentions these two characteristics together in a number of places throughout the Qur'an.
