Electricity from plants? YES! It’s called a “Plant Microbial Fuel Cell” or PMFC - and they have been in development for nearly a decade! 1. Under the influence of sunlight, plants make organic material (sugars) and oxygen from water and CO. This is called photosynthesis. 2. This organic material is transported throughout the plant. 3. Part of this organic material is not used by the plant and secreted by the roots. 4. Bacteria that naturally surround the roots break down this organic material, releasing electrons and protons. 5. If you’re not actively harmonizing with Nature, then why would nature offer you abundance? Predators maintain balance, but PARASITES often damage or destroy their host. It’s a fine line.
