Kaveri (Cauvery) River
▪️ Kaveri is a sacred Indian river flowing through the states of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu and UT of Puducherry.
▪️ Origin :- Kodagu District, Karnataka
▪️ Drain :- Puhar District, Tamilnadu (Bay of bengal)
▪️It is the third largest river – after Godavari and Krishna – in South India and the largest in the State of Tamil Nadu.
▪️ The Kaveri is sacred river to the people of South India and is worshipped as the Goddess Kaveramma. The Kaveri is also one of the seven holy rivers of India.

RIGHT : Lakshmana Tirtha, Kabini, Bhavani, Noyyal, Amaravati, Moyar

Siachen Glacier | All you need to know about!
🔰 The Siachen Glacier is located in the Eastern Karakoram range in the Himalayas, just northeast of Point NJ9842 where the Line of Control between India and Pakistan ends.
🔰 It is the Second-Longest glacier in the World's Non-Polar areas.
🔸 Fedchenko Glacier, located in Yazgulem Range, Tajikistan is the Longest glacier in the World's Non-Polar areas.
🔰 The Siachen Glacier lies immediately south of the great drainage divide that separates the Eurasian Plate from the Indian subcontinent in the extensively glaciated portion of the Karakoram sometimes called the "Third Pole".
🔰 The Siachen Glacier is part of Ladakh which has now been converted into a Union Territory.
🔰 The Siachen Glacier is the world's highest battlefield.
🔰 The entire Siachen Glacier has been under the administration/territory of India since 1984 (Operation Meghdoot).

▪️ Chukchi Sea is a part of the Arctic Ocean, bounded by Wrangel Island (west), northeastern Siberia and
northwestern Alaska (south), the Beaufort Sea (east), and the Arctic continental slope (north).
▪️ It has an area of 225,000 square miles (582,000 square km) and an average depth of 253 feet
(77 m).
▪️ The sea is navigable between July and October both eastward and westward from the shallow Bering Strait, and ice-bearing currents fl ow southeastward along the Siberian coast.
▪️ Seals of several species and walrus are indigenous, and whales and many seabirds are summer

Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary
▪️ The Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary is an animal sanctuary in Wayanad, and it's second largest wildlife sanctuary in Kerala.
▪️ A variety of large wild animals such as Indian bison, elephant, deer and tiger are found there.
▪️ It is an integral part of the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve, bounded by protected area network of Nagarhole and Bandipur of Karnataka in the northeast, and on the southeast by Mudumalai of Tamil Nadu.
▪️ Wayanad district has the largest population of Adivasi in Kerala. Scheduled tribes here include Paniyas, Kurumas, Adiyans, Kurichiyas, Ooralis and Kattunaikkans.
▪️ Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the safest havens for different species of vultures like the White-rumped Vultures and the Red-headed Vultures.

📍 Ramgarh Vishdhari Tiger Reserve
🖍️ Rajasthan Government has notified the Ramgarh Vishdhari Wildlife Sanctuary as a tiger reserve
🖍️ It is the 4th Tiger Reserve of Rajasthan after Ranthambore, Sariska & Mukundra; and 52nd tiger reserve of India.
🖍️ Tiger reserves are notified by the State Government as per provisions of Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972 on advice of the National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA).

🖍️ The Strait of Hormuz is a strait between the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman.
🖍️ It provides the only sea passage from the Persian Gulf to the open ocean and is one of the world’s most strategically important choke points.
🖍️ When a body of water such as a strait is capable of being blocked or even closed in order to control transportation routes, the body is called a “choke point.”
🖍️ On the north coast lies Iran, and on the south coast the United Arab Emirates and Musandam, an exclave of Oman.
