| 2 | π’ VTU Summer Semester Clarification
VTU has introduced the Summer Semester to help students clear eligible subjects without waiting for the next academic year.

Applicable for students with:
1. F (Fail) grade
2. AB (Absent) status
3. Attendance shortage
4. CIE shortage
π This is not a regular semester and is not compulsory for everyone.
π Students who have passed all subjects and fulfilled attendance/CIE requirements do not need to register for the Summer Semester.
π Students can register for courses up to 14 credits (18 credits for Architecture).
π Regular Odd and Even Semester exams will continue as usual.
π The Summer Semester provides an additional opportunity to clear backlogs faster and avoid delays in academic progression.
π In short: If you have any eligible backlog, attendance shortage, or CIE shortage, you can use the Summer Semester to clear it early instead of waiting for the next regular exam cycle.
