"... If it was permissible to celebrate his birthday, the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) would have expounded the matter to his Ummah as he was the best advisor and there is no prophet after him to explain what he (صلى الله عليه وسلم) kept silent about. He (صلى الله عليه وسلم) is the final Prophet and he explained to the people their duties towards him such as loving him and following his Shari'ah, invoking Allah (عز وجل) to send His peace and blessings upon him and his other rights that are explained in the Qur'an and the Sunnah. He did not tell his Ummah that celebrating the day of his birth was prescribed so that they would act accordingly. He (صلى الله عليه وسلم) did not celebrate it during his lifetime nor did the Sahabah (رضی اللہ عنھم) who were the dearest people to him and the most knowledgeable of his rights, or the Rightly-Guided Caliphs or any other Companion.. ..." _________ Shaykh 'Abdul-'Aziz Ibn Baaz (رحمه الله تعالى ورحمة واسعة) [Majmoo ’al-Fataawa Ibn Baaz, Vol.: 6; pg. 318]

*‘All goodness lies in following the Pious Predecessors and Successors and all evil lies in the innovations perpetrated by those who came thereafter.’* Source: Sharh Sunan ibn Mājah | ash-Shareet, 153 | Time: 2 hours, 1 minute onwards

*The History and Origin of the Newly-Innovated Practice of Celebrating the Prophet’s Birth-day.* By Ash-Shaykh, al-Allāmah, al-Muhaddith ‘Abdul-Muhsin al-‘Abbād al-Badr [may Allāh preserve him]. Ash-Shaykh, al-Allāmah, al-Muhaddith ‘Abdul-Muhsin al-‘Abbād al-Badr [may Allāh preserve him] said: “The Mawlids were introduced in the fourth century after the migration of the Messenger of Allāh صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ _(hijrah)_. The first to introduce them were the ‘Ubaydiyyūn [who were Shi’ites] who ruled Egypt during the fourth century after the migration _(hijrah)_ of the Messenger of Allāh صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم. Al-Maqrizi said in ‘Al-Khutat wal-Athār fi Tāreekh Misr:’ ‘They introduced six mawlids: the birth-day of the Prophet صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ, the birth-day of ‘Ali, the birth-day of Fātimah, the birth-day of al-Hassan and [the birth-day of] Hussain [may Allāh be pleased with them] and sixthly the birth-day of the existing ruler from among their rulers. Therefore, if these celebrations and the singling out of these occasions, with specific actions did not occur in the first three centuries which are the best of centuries, about which the Messenger of Allāh صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ said: ‘The best of people are my generation, then those who follow them, then those who follow them.’ [Saheeh al-Bukhāri, 6429 and Muslim, 2533] The Companions _(Sahābah)_ did not celebrate the birth-day of the Prophet صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم, nor did the _(Tābi‘een)_ Followers and Successors of the Companions of the Prophet صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ, nor did _(Atbā‘ at-Tābi‘een)_ the leading Successors. It was not in existence for a whole three hundred years. It was introduced during the fourth century, those who introduced it were the ‘Ubaydiyyūn who ruled Egypt. *Therefore, what is the origin for this celebration?* It is imitation of the Christians, as the Christians celebrate the birthday of ‘Ēsa [عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم], therefore we have to celebrate the birth-day of Muhammad صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ. Meaning, those who introduced it were the ‘Ubaydiyyūn and the basis for it is emulation of the Christians! It is well known that all goodness lies in what the Messenger of Allāh صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ and his Companions [may Allāh be pleased with them] were upon. The Messenger of Allāh صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ did not guide towards that and he did not do it himself, nor did the Rightly-Guided Caliphs, and neither did it originate from the Companions, nor their Followers and Successors, nor the Leading Successors. It was founded in the fourth century, thus the reason why there is nothing recorded in the books which were authored in the first three centuries, permitting celebrating the birth-day _(Mawlid)_ with proofs and evidences. There is nothing indicating that the people used to celebrate, enjoin others to celebrate and/or practice celebrating it themselves. For a whole three hundred years it was non existent! It is well known that all goodness lies in following those who have preceded [i.e., the Pious Predecessors and Successors]. It is mandatory to love the Messenger of Allāh صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ, and this love must be far greater, within hearts than the love of every beloved person, *but this love must be in accordance with the traditions and practices of the Messenger of Allāh صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.* There is nothing from the traditions and practices of the Messenger of Allāh صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ nor in the actions of the Pious Predecessors and Successors, who are the Companions and those who follow their path in that regard. All goodness lies in the person following the guidance and example of the Messenger of Allāh صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ and he has to be cautious not to fall into newly invented and innovated affairs. Because it is mandatory that a person is a follower, like the [Arab] poet said:

O Husband! Spend on your Wife even though she Earns Shaikh Ibn ‘Uthaimeen [Rahimahullaah - (May Allaah have mercy upon him)] was asked: If the wife has a job and she receives a good salary, is it incumbent upon the husband to provide for her? And what would the situation be if his income is little? He (Rahimahullaah) replied: It is an obligation upon the husband to provide for his wife, even if she has a good salary because his providing for her is in return for the pleasure that he gets from her - even though his income may be little. If the woman is good-natured, easy-going, and cooperative towards her husband regarding provision, then the matter is up to her. [Fatawa Islamiyah pg. no.183 vol: 5]

If you are someone who is in need of MARRIAGE, WEALTH, STABILITY, INCOME, PEACE, RESPECTED LIVING, RIGHTEOUS COMPANIONS then, How could you forget to say the du’a of Musa (alayhi salam)!? ﴿رَبِّ إِنِّي لِمَا أَنزَلْتَ إِلَيَّ مِنْ خَيْرٍ فَقِيرٌ﴾ "My Lord! Truly, I am in need of whatever good that You bestow on me!" (28:24) DON'T YOU SEE WHAT ALLAH SAYS IN THE VERY NEXT VERSE? ﴿فَجَاءَتْهُ إِحْدَاهُمَا تَمْشِي عَلَى اسْتِحْيَاءٍ قَالَتْ إِنَّ أَبِي يَدْعُوكَ لِيَجْزِيَكَ أَجْرَ مَا سَقَيْتَ لَنَا﴾ Then there came to him one of the two women, walking shyly (a sign of a free, noble woman). She said: "Verily, my father calls you that he may reward you for having watered (our flocks) for us." (28:25)

Allah says in Sūrat Yusuf: "Thus did We plot for Yusuf" Al Qur’an 12:76 Commenting on this, Ibn Taymiyyah (rahimahullah) wrote: In the story of Yusuf, Allah draws our attention to the fact that for a believer who places his trust in Allah, if the created beings plot against him, then Allah will plot for him and support him independent of any ability or power of the person himself. [Fatawa al-Kubra, Ibn Taymiyyah (rahimahullah), 6/132]
