Of course I think the US should support Ukraine, but another silver lining to the split between the US and Ukraine is that no one can say Ukraine is just a US proxy anymore. So the Anti-Americans have to reframe the situation as “Americans won’t support Ukraine because they hate Europeans!” Everything has to fit their narrative that, no matter what, “America bad.” They hated the USA when it supported Ukraine — they hated Americans! — but now America is bad because the USA, under Trump, won’t support Ukraine. They just hate Americans.

Americans don’t want to pay for military bases all over Europe. And the Europeans want to defend themselves — let them Thats a win/win for Americans in my view. Russia isn’t a threat to a united Europe.
