Cheka is a Berlin-based DJ and aspiring sound producer from Ukraine. For the last three years, she has been working as a DJ and already had an opportunity to perform at various events all over Ukraine and in the clubs across the Europe. Her sound is characterized as a dynamic groove, which can be defined by fast-paced and hard techno, trance, and acid with many touching vocal sounds integrated. Oleg Patselya is a young DJ and composer from Kyiv who has already proven himself in the electronic scene of Ukraine. The palette of styles from energetic bounce techno and electro, experimental breakbeat, to the house of the early 2000s makes the canvas of his performance sensual and diverse. He started his music career in 2016 and has played all around Ukraine in more than 10 cities, also in the famous Kyiv club K41∄. Today his life is rolling between those in need, providing help to Ukrainian defenders and people who are forced to hide in the bomb shelters and survive in post-occupied territories providing vital products with the collective of friends “Kyiv Angels” Oleg stands for strength and independence, which is reflected in his latest podcast for Cxema. Markiian Matsiiovskyi aka DJ 69 is a Kyiv-based DJ, producer and vinyl-only label owner from Lviv (Ukraine). In 2016, he founded the Hypnohouse party series and made a revolution in Lviv's electronic scene at that time. Having held more than 30 parties in 4 years. Markiian reformatted the promotional group into the vinyl label of the same name. Hypnohouse parties are held only in the format of the label's showcases. Shortly before the start of the war, one of these took place in the legendary club Closer. With the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, he founded "Kyiv Angels". Markiian continues his musical activities, In his music, he balances between a mixture of progressive trance with funky grooves, tech house, breaks from 2000s with unexpected bass lines and put his focus on digging vintage records. After the initial shock of the first two days of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine settled, my friends and I decided to take action into our own hands and fight on the humanitarian front. That's how the "Kyiv Angels" were born. The war has forced us, young and creative people, to leave our everyday lives behind and become full-time volunteers. Initially, we started by providing assistance in Kyiv and the region. Now, our goals include delivering humanitarian aid throughout the whole Ukraine, including the liberated areas from the occupiers and bringing military assistance to the defenders of Ukraine in hotspots with active military action.
