Art Exhibition: ‘’እግረ መንገድ’’ 📅 July 13, 2021 📍 Goethe-Institut By Engdaget Legesse Till August 18, 2021 Literally translated as ‘’the footpath’’, the phrase ‘’እግረ መንገድ’’ refers to chance encounters or unplanned arrangements resulting from thoughts or opportunities that coincidentally present themselves as one goes about their daily life. The ‘’እግረ መንገድ’’ exhibition features 17 paintings completed by Engdaget Legesse, the German based Ethiopian visual artist with over 20 years of experience. Featuring the artist’s unique technique of interweaving shreds of canvas into intersecting, and sometimes bulging compositions of multicolour strips, the artworks try to highlight the spirits of intricacy and movement associated with ‘’እግረ መንገድ’’. . @eventsethiopia
