The best ever seen movie about maths!
Meet the unexpected from Parametric Box! We've usually been devoted to parametric design but this time, we ventured beyond our comfort zone and immersed ourselves in a new realm - interior design.
We've taken up a challenging task - a three-story luxury interior design project right in the heart of Moscow, in a historic building no less. The project, "Pritchestenka 8", stands as an example of our ability to adapt and extend our creative horizons.
Indeed, this isn't the kind of parametric design we're typically associated with. However, its complexity and the uniqueness of the task piqued our interest. After a long and strenuous journey, we've successfully brought this project to completion.
Today, we're thrilled to share with you one of the many visualizations created for "Pritchestenka 8" #pb #interior
Check out this game-changer: a flexible, transparent LED screen from China!
Parametric Box is actively shaping our new parametric project, "Staroperovskiy", employing a powerful duo: Grasshopper and Unreal Engine. Here's a behind-the-scenes look at our workflow.s. #pb
The King Fahad National Library, Saudi Arabia, 2013
The facade has a shell of diamond-shaped canopies, which can be opened and closed. The inserted white membranes, supported by a three-dimensional steel tensile cable structure, act as sunshades.
Given exterior temperatures of up to 50º Celsius, the membrane facade combines the required protection from the sun with maximum light penetration and transparency.

Crushedwall, Redruth. UK, 2012
The expansive 40-metre long, 3-metre high wall utilizes concrete in such a way that it appears as soft and malleable, partially wrapping around the perimeter of a building.

Valletta city gate, Malta, 2015
The parliament’s facades are finished in solid stone. The notches in the facade create shade and an unique architectural effect, creating a fully functional device while allowing natural daylight inside.

The Broad Museum, Los Angeles, 2015
The building is enveloped by the “veil,” a honeycomb-like exterior structure that spans across the block-long third-floor gallery and provides filtered natural daylight. The museum’s “veil” lifts at the corners, welcoming visitors into an active lobby and shop.

Reindeer is an open-source plugin includes tools for defining a timber element, search for details, analyze a structure according to Eurocode 5 and detail a structure using timber processing.
Our team participated in a project that can be described as insane and incredibly beautiful. This building, created using parametric architecture, has complex curvilinear shapes and a large amount of light, which gives it an unusual and captivating look.We are proud to say that our team was the author of this project, which was a competition entry. The meaning of this building lies in the fact that it is not only a functional structure, but also a work of art. Its beauty and originality attract attention and inspire creativity.
However, creating this project was very challenging and required many revisions and improvements to achieve the desired result. For this project, we employed the most advanced technologies and state-of-the-art tools for shaping forms. Our team spent a lot of effort and energy to make this project what it is today.
We hope that this project will be built, and when it happens, it will become a real landmark and a symbolic object

Urbach Tower, Germany, 2019
The design of the Urbach Tower was created using a new self-shaping process of curved wood components. This unique technique involves predicting how wood will shrink as it dries out, allowing the flat timber panels to be designed to warp into the desired shape.
