URGENT CALL TO ACTION Another nightmare elections bill is making its way through the legislature. HB 4 is being heard by the Government, Elections, and Indian Affairs Committee FRIDAY MORNING. HB 4 would make a permanent absentee ballot list, provisions for automatic voter registration, make felons eligible to vote as they leave the prison rather than when their parole is over, and make drop boxes permanent. Every one of those things is a recipe for fraud. And the bill would also make CANVASSING A FELONY! That's right, if you want to go door to door to see if your voter rolls are accurate - you would be a criminal. It would even be a felony to make graphs of voter roll data to show irregularities. This bill is a slap in the face to New Mexicans who have been crying out for honest elections.
