Clean, cheerful, upbeat, and seemingly non-ideological and non-partisan: the new face of totalitarianism in the USA. Video clip from ANNIVERSARY (2025)

Review of ANNIVERSARY (2025), a film that speaks to our fall back into totalitarianism. The US right now is very vulnerable to the emergence of a movement like "The Change," as all alternatives seem to have collapsed. YOUR FREE SPEECH PLATFORM Compared to pre-Musk Twitter, X has at least much if not more suppression of dissenting views, while promoting extremist right-wing propaganda. If you go in there, you would think that mainstream Canadian opinion is pro-independence for Alberta; pro-annexation by the US; pro-Trump; and, blames Carney and the Liberals for the trade war started by the US. Even X's own AI, Grok, agrees that the platform is worse than Twitter. My account on X has been repeatedly locked down, suspended, actively shadow banned, and now it bears a special label as its visibility is reduced to almost zero. This is just as I began gaining traction when debating Maple MAGA accounts. It looks like I was starting to spoil Elon Musk's interference in Canadian politics, and making his paid tools look bad. X makes an ultra-fascist sewer like Telegram look good. #censorship #Twitter

ā€œTrade is an economic alliance that benefits both countries. There are no losers, only winners. And trade helps strengthen the free world. Yet today protectionism is being used by some American politicians as a cheap form of nationalism, a fig leaf for those unwilling to maintain America's military strength and who lack the resolve to stand up to real enemies.ā€

"When Congress passed the Smoot-Hawley tariff in 1930, we were told that it would protect America from foreign competition and save jobs in this country—the same line we hear today. The actual result was the Great Depression."

This was posted on this channel in April, six months before the Premier of Ontario, Doug Ford, used it to make a very effective television ad. The same people who preached for years about "truth in medicine," denouncing "Covid lies," and about totalitarian group think, are all now unanimously engaged in the most Orwellian type of gaslighting. Revisionism instead of history. Reagan was pro-free trade and against protectionism, period. #Trump is a coward and an idiot. The ad was so effective that it embarrassed him and he lost leverage, especially as the Supreme Court is now reviewing #tariffs. Trump's #TradeWar against #Canada is largely illegal, according to court rulings. https://t.me/zero_anthropology/16003

3/11 WAS BROUGHT TO YOU BY THE PETROLEUM INDUSTRY? What do "pro-vaxxers" and "anti-vaxxers" have in common? You guessed it: PETROCHEMICALS. The petroleum industry has vested interests on both sides of what was the Covid divide, making it a win-win for them either way. This is not evidence that the entire event was manufactured or planned by petrochemical interests, just that such interests were either long-standing, or opportunistic. On the vaccine side: whether it's vaccine adjuvants like squalene, or excipients and stabilizers like polysorbate 80 or polyethylene glycol, and ethanol or acetone used in purification processes during vaccine production—the petroleum industry is directly involved. That has been true for generations, since petroleum-derived products were key to vaccine development. On the anti-vax side: the Great Barrington Declaration, some anti-lockdown protests, and organizations like the Brownstone Institute were all either directly or indirectly funded by petroleum interests, such as Charles Koch. "Americans for Prosperity" promoted anti-lockdown efforts, as did the infamous tool of oligarchs, ALEC. Not surprisingly, many on the anti-vax side are also deniers of climate change, since efforts to address that directly impact on the profit margins of the fossil fuel industry that so many of them seem so strangely desperate to worship and love. šŸ›¢šŸ’• How many different ways can you find to say that we were all "played"? The only thing that the Covid experience has not been called is "another war for oil"—and to some extent, it could be counted as one. #ThreeEleven #Koch #ALEC #oil

LONG COVID https://x.com/morgfair/status/1974625866740285770 The other Long Covid: the persisting belief that Covid remains a serious threat and that there is still a global pandemic. Associated symptoms: gullibility, hypochondria, susceptibility to suggestion from authorities, continuing fear. Known treatments: psychotherapy, fresh air. #LongCovid #Permanent_Pandemic

CONVENIENTLY COMFORTABLE CRITICISM šŸ”˜ Using the Internet...to criticize globalism. šŸ”˜ Using the Internet...to condemn surveillance. šŸ”˜ Using the Internet...to denounce digitization. šŸ”˜ Using the Internet...to blast corporate control. šŸ”˜ Using the Internet...to talk about going off grid. What isn't noticed above, that routinely evades criticism? Some of the very worst elements of the much feared dystopia are in use every day, sometimes all day. At some point, you have to be ready to either admit defeat and declare surrender—or actually live like your words mean something. Until then: it's all just bla-bla-bla-bla.

Did everyone catch the lovefest between Pfizer's Albert Bourla, Donald Trump, and RFK Jr. a few days ago? I can't keep saying, "this is the end of #MAHA," because that might inadvertently suggest that either it is resilient (it keeps being declared dead, meaning it isn't), or that it was ever actually real. So many #MAGA supporters in X have pretended to part ways with Trump/RFK Jr., over this, only to return to their regularly scheduled cheerleading on everything else. They're not serious. Nobody is. Which takes me to the next post:

RFK JR., TRUMP, DR. OZ on VACCINES, TYLENOL, AUTISM You can read about today's press conference and catch the videos, elsewhere. There is no need for me to amplify any fanfare for the work of politicians. I did not trust the authorities during Covid. I do not trust them now. Medicine is still extremely politicized. Having Trump do the speaking, then RFK Jr. (not a scientist, not a doctor), only makes it worse. I took what they said, at most, as a mere suggestion, a correlation, a possibility. The event was primarily a political event—right down to the now standard #MAGA elegizing of the romantic primitiveness of their Aryan noble savages, the glorious Amish. If they want us to "trust the science," then we should ask for science that is not funded by industry, and science that is not a tool of partisan political activists. "Regulatory capture" comes by both routes. Patting yourselves on the back for being skeptics during Covid, yet turning around and cheering today—means you have been played. You are the tool of a partisan movement, that sought you out in order to (re)align you with #MAGA. Seeing the blue RFK Jr. at the podium, a product of heroin abuse, with his neo-medieval apothecarial use of bizarre little purple tinctures, inspires exactly zero confidence in "the science," i.e., #MAHA "science". We will have to wait longer not just for information that is sound and reliable, but also for people who possess both rationality and reasonability in order to process that information. We are a long way off from meeting these conditions. #TheScience #Trump #RFKjr

HOW MUCH MONEY ARE YOU GETTING FROM CHINA? Trump is unable to give a clear answer with a specific number. Why? Because it's more bullshit, of course. All of that money is coming from US citizens themselves. Otherwise, show the actual receipts. #Trump #TradeWar #Tariffs #China

HOW BRICS NATIONS STAND TOGETHER AGAINST THE U.S. #Trump launched a #TradeWar against #China and placed massive #tariffs on imports from China. In return, China blocked soybean imports from the US—the core of US agriculture in key states such as Iowa. Trump also imposed 50% tariffs on Brazil, as political punishment. Brazil is a major competitor to the US, where soybeans are concerned. China is now buying its soybeans from Brazil. US agriculture will be another victim of Trump's crashing of the US economy. #Blowback

TRUMP'S TRADE WAR IS CHOKING KEY U.S. MANUFACTURERS Far from helping to spur the growth of US manufacturing, Trump's policies are helping to degrade some of its key stalwarts. John Deere just announced a second round of layoffs, just in a couple of months. Stocks in the company dropped 7% in value after the company revealed that tariffs will cost them at least $600 million dollars—for this year alone. Expect Trump to say that the exact opposite is happening. #Trump #Tariffs #TradeWar #Blowback

ABOUT THAT "MYSTERIOUS" U.S. DEFICIT Given that #Trump claims all the time now that #tariffs have brought in over $17 TRILLION...one wonders how the above is even possible. The US should be getting much closer to being debt free, not going in the other direction. #TradeWar #Blowback

Does the Bukele Model Have a Future? El Salvador’s Police State Will Soon Face a Reckoning
...This so-called miracle has earned Bukele widespread domestic popular support and international admiration. Yet it has also come at a staggering cost: nearly two percent of the population is now imprisoned, the highest such rate in the world. Of the more than 80,000 people Bukele has put behind bars—most of them young men—at least 20,000 likely have no involvement with gang activity or other criminality, according to human rights organizations. During his first years as president, Bukele strove to reduce violence through heavy-handed policing and, according to research by El Faro, El Salvador’s leading investigative publication, covert negotiations with gangs MS-13 and Barrio 18. But after the Legislative Assembly approved a state of emergency, in March 2022, Bukele’s government embarked on a campaign of sweeping mass arrests. Under the state of exception, the government detains people without any evidence for their supposed ā€œillicit associationā€ with gangs, holds them incommunicado, and does not press formal charges or allow them trials or hearings. Prisoners suffer regular abuse and torture while in custody. Such maneuvers are part of a well-worn authoritarian playbook. But what distinguishes El Salvador is how the collapse of its democracy has coincided with its supposed success in crime prevention. The Bukele model is not a story of justice but one of state terror, in which hard-won legal protections that form the bedrock of a free civil society—fair trials, the presumption of innocence, proof beyond reasonable doubt—have been abandoned.... In March 2022, the Salvadoran Legislative Assembly took a further step, enacting the rĆ©gimen de excepción to combat a renewed surge in gang violence. The measure authorized the suspension of fundamental constitutional rights: freedom of movement, expression, and association; the privacy of communications; the right to a legal defense; and constitutional limits on detention. But what began as a temporary measure—first promised to last 30 days—is now in its fourth year, extended 42 times by a compliant assembly. The emergency has become the rule, transforming exceptional powers into the ordinary machinery of despotic governance. Under this regime, the state can detain anyone, anywhere, and for any reason, without charge, trial, or recourse....
