On speaking in tongues, one biblical requirement that no tongue speaker today has ever fulfilled from after the 1st centiry AD to the present day/today was they need to have an interpreter. When talking about claims of "speaking in tongues", 5 critera requirement biblically need to be fulfilled (not babbling) in order for someone to be able to "speak in tongues" as per Acts 2 and were for the early church in the 1st century AD. -they need to hear "a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind -Cloven tongues of fire need to appear unto the potential speaker -the Holy Ghost has to come upon the person, and then the person has to be fillled with the Holy Ghost -the Holy Ghost/the Spirit has to give the person utterance -someone must interpret what the tongue speaker is saying   Acts   2:2 -4, 14-16 KJB [2] And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.  [3] And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. If all 5 of theses things are not happening when someone claims to "speak in tongues", then the person is not speaking in tongues but is babbling in vain. Thus, heres some questions to consider: Do those who claim to speak in tongues today suddenly had the Holy Ghost come upon them? Did cloven tongues of fire appear and sat on the person/potential/supposed tongue speaker? Did they hear a sound as of rushing mighty wind from Heaven? Did the Spirit/Holy Ghost or their imaginitive thinking give them utterance on what to speak? Did cloven tongues of fire appear and sit on the supposed tongue speaker? Did someone interpret what the claimed tongues speaker say, or not? All claimed Pentecostals and all tongue speakers violate and ignore all 5 prerequesitite biblical actions mentioned above. Here's a good question to ask Pentecostals: "why are you obessed with speaking in tongues?" Maybe because they want to vainly babble their way to Heaven, which will not work at all.

Tongues are languages that God allowed the Apostles (who did not previously speak those languages) to speak and preach the Gospel to others who spoke various languages, and are not powers for today's believers. Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language. And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans? People who claim they had visions and dreams in relation to Joel 2:28 are deceived, because Acts 2:1-4, 14-18 is the fulfillment of Joel. Peter said that he and the Apostles speaking in tongues [new languages], are what was spoken by the prophet Joel: Acts 1:26, 2:1-4, 14-18, 21 KJB: [26] And they gave forth their lots; and the lot fell upon Matthias; and he was numbered with the eleven apostles.
