I (female) am currently dating my partner (male) and I’m wondering if ITA in this scenario. I really like him a lot, he’s sweet, generous, and dotes on me a lot.
BUT, he is friends with all his exs… like really close friends, they still hang out and text regularly. He says it’s because they ended on good terms and it’s the adult thing to still be friends, fine that I can still kinda wrap my head around.
THEN I find out, he cheated on his ex girlfriend with a girl from his friend group, and then he and the girl he cheated with are still good friends. I was quite taken aback by this and voiced my concerns that I’m extremely uncomfortable with this. He keeps saying that they were here before me and therefore he won’t cut them off.
Am I wrong for feeling horrified?? He claims nothing more between them but I can’t shake the feeling of insecurity here.. by the time you guys read this I’ll probably have broken up with him. I don’t wanna tell him who I can and cannot be friends with, but at the same time I don’t think I can accept that the man Im dating is still cozy friends with the girl he cheated with….
