The Verifiable AI Hackathon Winners Have Arrived!
After weeks of building, testing, and pushing the limits of what’s possible with Verida AI and truly personalized, user-owned AI — the results are in. This hackathon brought together 278 builders and over 20 groundbreaking projects.
Verida Bounty Winners:
1st Place – Viskify A verifiable AI hiring platform that uses cheqd for credentials and extracts recruiter-ready insights via Verida AI. 2nd Place – Ataeru Bringing trust and user control to fertility services — empowering users to own their health data via NFTs and decentralized reputation. 3rd Place – ModerateX AI agents + verifiable credentials = better identity, access, and trust for social platforms, built with Verida AI + cheqd DID. | 2 |  Kwaai and Verida Join Forces to Accelerate the World’s First Open Source Personal AI Platform
This collaboration merges Verida’s decentralized data infrastructure with Kwaai’s decentralized AI systems, creating an open-source powerhouse for user-owned, sovereign AI.
Kwaai and Verida are aligning around decentralization, privacy, and personal agency.
⚠️The Verida Storage Network will shut down on June 6, 2025. All users and builders must export their data before this date. Verida’s next-gen infrastructure will be co-developed within Kwaai.
As our scope expands, $VDA could become a universal decentralized AI credit — enabling access to storage, compute, and inference in the open AI stack.
In the coming weeks, we’ll share more details and actionable steps for both communities to support the integration.

Due to overwhelming interest & community feedback, we’re extending the Verifiable AI Hackathon by two weeks!
New deadline: May 16, 2025 to submit your projects and compete for a share of 1 000 000 $VDA.

Now that the Verida Vault web app is live, the Verida Wallet mobile app will be retired. Verida Vault delivers more features, data connectors, a smoother UX, and easier onboarding—all in a fully encrypted environment where you can pull, store, and manage your personal and private data securely.
To protect your assets and digital identity, please use the Verida Wallet mobile app to:
- Back up your identity (export your seed phrase)
- Move your funds (crypto wallet won’t migrate to the Vault)
