What a session! We kept it simple and focused only on gold, and it paid off big time.
Right at the open, we secured a clean 1:6 risk-to-reward tradeâperfect execution, patience, and market structure all lining up beautifully. Sometimes, all it takes is one solid setup to make the session a success, and today was one of those days.
This week, USD news has been a major driver in the markets, and weâve been capitalizing on it. With NFP (Non-Farm Payrolls) coming up, weâre expecting increased volatility, especially on pairs like gold, US30, and major USD pairs. If job numbers come in stronger than expected, we could see gold sell-off and the dollar strengthen. If the data is weaker, we might see gold push higher while USD takes a hit. Todayâs London session was another successful one with some great opportunities across the board!
EU and GU both gave us clean bearish price action following a Break of Structure (BOS). These were straightforward trades, respecting market structure perfectly, and those who caught the moves locked in solid profits.
Gold required a bit more patience. We watched it for an hour as it built readable price action, eventually giving us a great opportunity for a sell. While we could have entered earlier, the price was still within the current working range, so we stayed disciplined and waited to align with market structure. Sticking to the plan paid off, and the trade worked out beautifully.

Retail Sales News came in just as we predicted. The forecasts were way too optimistic, and we capitalized on that by combining our fundamental read with technical setups. Itâs amazing to see how preparation and understanding market sentiment can give us the edge.
NYSE Session:
⢠NAS100 gave us the perfect sell setup after a pre-market push-up. Price tapped into a clean POI, and the move down was textbook. It was an easily predicted sell, and it played out perfectly for those who waited patiently.
⢠Gold delivered beautifully after the news. We caught some after-news buys, riding them up into a 1-hour POI that weâve had marked for over a week. Itâs always satisfying to see long-term analysis respected by the market.

What a beautiful NY session! Patience and preparation paid off in a big way.
Gold was the star of the session. We waited patiently for the retrace and caught a few scalp trades on the way down to the 1-minute POI we had marked out together. As soon as price tapped the POI, it reversed sharply and ran up beautifullyâcurrently sitting at an incredible 1:10 risk-to-reward trade! For those who held on, this one was a massive win.
US30 and NAS opened the 12 AM hourly candle (Aussie time) without a top wick and both fell into the areas we had prepped. US30 reached the POI we marked, and we took the buy from there, riding the move up perfectly. While NAS followed a similar pattern and flipped the hourly candle, it didnât quite reach the POI, so we stayed out of that trade today.
A special note: In honor of Jimmy Carter, the NYSE markets were closed today. After wrapping up our trades, we all slept happy after a session filled with success.

From there, Gold reacted beautifully, giving a strong bullish push off the level, allowing us to capitalize on a 1:6 buy trade, which is still running as we speak.
⢠US30: The New York open offered a clean pullback, setting up perfectly for a buy opportunity. We executed the entry and rode the move for 120 pips, aligning with our pre-market analysis.
⢠Nasdaq (NAS): The breakout trade on NAS followed our expectations, as price pushed strongly toward the 1-hour POI identified earlier in the market breakdown. This move was a direct result of following the structure and volume shifts discussed in the EP.
