Chip that relieves stoop
You probably know why many stooped people develop back pain over time.
“We just forget to stop slouching,” says Monica Perkash of Lumo BodyTech, which created the special “reminiscent” chip.
Once the user straps this thumb-sized gadget to their shirt, it starts to track and analyze the position of the back and neck, and vibrates when the posture is wrong.

Elon Musk's giant rocket with 33 Raptor engines exploded during a test
SpaceX's Starship flight to Mars has been delayed again. This time, the cause was the explosion of a prototype Super Heavy launch vehicle during scheduled tests. Elon Musk has already commented on what happened.
By the way, the entire Starship ship assembly will include a total of 40 of these engines. Musk noted that the process of starting the engines is quite complicated, since they need to be activated in a special sequence. In future tests, the company will try to simultaneously start all 33 booster engines.

Hiking boots with hydraulic pistons keep hikers' feet from dislocating
German startup Terrein received an ISPO award in the second quarter of 2022 and is now gearing up to launch the first Ascent hiking shoe with ankle protection.
The Ascent boots have a pair of hydraulic pistons on either side of the foot, which are in the deactivated position in the standard, safe foot position. They take the form of elastic straps and do not squeeze the foot. However, as soon as the foot begins to bend beyond the allowable limits, the piston works and firmly fixes the ankle, preventing it from moving in the wrong direction.
Betterguards says their system has a reaction rate three times faster than a human's, so the shoes will protect you from injury before you even feel anything. This design is also applicable in medical orthoses. There is no information yet on the timing of the start of production of Ascent and the cost of such shoes.

Hackaball - a ball that teaches children to code
Made by Many decided that children should be taught programming from an early age.
This toy links with the mobile app and kids can start programming.
Here's how it works: a child gives, for example, a command for a ball to change its color, and when the ball turns red, it must be thrown to another child - this is how they play "hot potato".

Startup HIghland Systems from the UAE has presented the design of the new Kronos submarine. The submarine is designed for ten passengers and one crew member.
Kronos is equipped with both a diesel generator and an electric motor, and the innovative hull design significantly reduces fuel consumption and increases top speed. The vessel is capable of reaching a maximum speed of almost 80 kilometers per hour on the water and 50 kilometers per hour underwater. The working depth is 100 meters, and the maximum is 250 meters.

Ocean Cleanup Project - creating a "vacuum cleaner" for the oceans.
There is so much garbage floating in the world's oceans that if you collect it, you can get a new continent, or at least a huge island.
Scientists working on the Ocean Cleanup Project believe that this problem can be solved by creating a floating barrier that has a length of 100 km.
💲 The cost of this design is 15 million dollars.

A driver filmed an optical illusion in a US tunnel that frightened passers-by
A tunnel in the United States that appears to have recently undergone renovations creates a bizarre optical illusion for drivers: when it rains outside, a puddle appears deceptively, causing those who first see it to brake hard.
