Centre 42 and Teater Ekamatra are thrilled to bring you a Malay-language edition of New Scripts Garage! The New Scripts Garage is an open call for scripts to receive dramaturgical support and feedback from a team of experienced theatre makers to take their scripts to the next level.
For this edition of the New Scripts Garage, the team will be prioritising completed scripts but will also consider partially complete drafts with extensive scenes. Plays have to be written in the Malay-language or predominantly (at least 80%) in the Malay-language.

This Singapore Night Festival 2023, the #WaterlooStKakis bring to life oral histories collected from diverse communities, through dance, music, photography and plays in Waterloo Street Stories!
Produced and presented with Artwave Studio, Centre 42’s contribution is a collection of four audio plays written by playwrights from an open call and script development process. Imagined and inspired by real stories of the street, Lim Shien Hian, Laura Hayes, Rajkumar Thiagaras and Christopher Chee explore the rich and humorous spirit world beneath our everyday ironies and heartbreak.
