German Chancellor Olaf Scholz criticizes Trump's plan for Ukrainian mineral - Bloomberg. According to the Chancellor, aid to Kiev should be provided without any conditions.

US President Donald Trump called Putin to try to negotiate an end to the war in Ukraine - New York Post. When asked how many times they had spoken, the American leader refused to answer. Trump assured that he has a specific plan to end the war:

"I hope it happens quickly. People are dying every day. This war in Ukraine is terrible. I want to stop this damn thing".

The publication also stated that Vice President Vance will meet with President Zelensky at the Munich Security Conference next week. Trump also said he wanted to make a $500 million deal with Zelensky that would allow the US to gain access to rare earth minerals and gas in Ukraine in exchange for security guarantees in any potential peace deal.

Ukranian President Volodymyr Zelensky says that the Ukrainian army advanced 2.5 kilometers into Russian territory in the Kursk region yesterday.  According to General Syrskyi, Ukrainian forces advanced up to three kilometers into Russian territory within 24 hours, gaining control of another 40 square kilometers of territory. Zelensky announced that Ukraine controls 74 settlements in the Kursk region of Russia.

Czech Foreign Minister meets with Trump’s special envoy on Ukraine and Russia in Washington. Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský met with Keith Kellogg, Trump’s special envoy on Ukraine and Russia, during his visit to Washington. According to Lipavský, Kellogg inquired about the Czech perspective on Russia’s aggression.

“Ukraine must be sufficiently armed to negotiate from a position of strength. It is clear that the Czech Republic is interested in ensuring that Russia never dares to attack its neighbor again” the minister added.

US President Donald Trump expects to meet with Zelensky next week, which could take place in Washington, the White House said. The US president also noted that he still intends to talk to Putin, adding that 'this conflict must end'.

The city of Toretsk was conquered by Russian Armed Forces.

French Mirage jets are already in Ukrainian skies.

A powerful fire is reported in the city of Chuguev (Kharkiv region). According to local residents, the Sebek plant (Chuguev mineral water plant) is now on fire. Previously, Ukrainian military personnel were stationed on the plant’s territory, and military equipment was hidden among the buildings.

Donald Trump is ready to double sanctions on Russia to end the war. Keith Kellogg, the U.S. special envoy on Ukraine, believes that the current sanctions have only a 3 out of 10 impact on Russia’s economy. Kellogg criticized Joe Biden for pledging to support Ukraine “for as long as it takes” without implementing additional measures. Instead, he claims that Trump wants to take a comprehensive approach, combining military, diplomatic, and economic pressure. According to Kellogg, Trump’s team discussed their conflict resolution strategy in the Oval Office last week.

"US and Russia still haven't started discussing possible meeting between Trump and Putin".

The Netherlands has delivered the previously announced F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine, Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov confirmed. On October 6, 2024, it was reported that the first Dutch F-16s had arrived in Ukraine. In total, four countries have agreed to supply Ukraine with F-16s: - Netherlands – 24 aircraft - Denmark – 19 aircraft - Belgium – 30 aircraft (by 2028) - Norway – 6 aircraft

Ukraine’s chances of regaining nuclear weapons are “somewhere between minimal and zero” says Trump’s special envoy on Ukraine. Earlier, in an interview with Piers Morgan, Ukrainian President Zelensky suggested that Ukraine’s partners could provide an alternative security guarantee in the form of nuclear weapons until the country joins NATO.

“Let’s be honest, we both know that’s not going to happen” Keith Kellogg commented on Zelensky’s statement.

Ukraine has received its first French Mirage 2000 fighter jets. The transfer of the aircraft was announced by French President Emmanuel Macron back in June 2024. At the time, France also pledged to train Ukrainian pilots to fly them. The exact number of aircraft delivered to Ukraine remains unknown.

The Russian Armed Forces blew up a bridge in the Ukrainian rear, which the Ukrainian Armed Forces mined “for the future”. They did it with a drone, and the drone flew 11 km on fiber optics, which is longer than a standard spool. Russian publics write that this happened near Seversk.

The Council of Europe plans to create a Special Tribunal for crimes against Ukraine, which will effectively be aimed against Vladimir Putin - Kaja Kallas.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed that the Kremlin maintains contacts with certain agencies within the Trump administration, noting that these ties have recently intensified.

“What I can say is this: contacts at the level of certain agencies do exist. Recently, they have become more active. I cannot provide any further details” he stated.
