Hello there!
Merry Christmas & Happy 2022!
In this issue, our featured project is about a recently completed piece of contemporary architecture that successfully fused elements of such style with place, simplicity, elegance and lightness. The bold colors of the faƧade complemented by the calm grey counterpart gave it a striking appearance in the densely populated neighborhood.
Our Ketema Archives contributor, Helawi Sewnet on his latest column argues how Emperor Menelik II could be considered the technology evangelist of Ethiopiaās modernization history for his endeavor to bring several products of civilization including the automobile to the country and his patience to create cultural acceptance over these foreign technologies.

Hello there!
On the 4th of October 2021, our country witnessed an extraordinary event with an artistically daring yet materially prudent structure disguised as a mere stage podium that unveiled itself on the inaugural ceremony of his Excellency Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, PhD.
This art installation received a plethora of media coverage during the three days of public exhibition after the ceremony. It's not every day that architecture becomes a point of interest in such prestigious events.
Our featured project is about this particularly talked about piece of urban art installation that become a point of interest for numerous urban dialogues and multiple media platforms in the past couple of weeks.

Hello there!
Weād like to start by wishing you a Happy and New Ethiopian year! As 2013 slowly grows distant, we remember it for being brimmed with some of the most hopeful and at times frustrating events in our archival history. We witnessed our city undergo drastic and pragmatic changes through the year, the ārenovation and reconstructionā of the cityās iconic buildings and spaces, has become a common theme, garnering attention even from international media.
Our featured project is about a highly acclaimed and most frequently used public space in the history of Ethiopia, which recently went through a well deserving refurbishment after almost 50 years.
