Humans are ungrateful.
They won't remember what you did for them.
They will remember what you didn't do.
That's human nature.
That's just the way it is.
Get on with it.
The human being is selfish.
His nature is sometimes ugly.
How do you explain this behavior?
I guess our biology is about survival.
And if someone doesn't help us in the present, it doesn't matter much for our present survival.
So all his past actions were welcome in the past but have little impact on our good.
When you give something, give it wholeheartedly.
It will be forgotten.
If you expect something in return, it is a recipe for future unhappiness.

Have a good week end.
Yesterday, i called my grand ma.
She was happy to hear.
The call your parents, grand ma, friends, lover ... advices is not that generic.
We are in a society that suck our time and want to make us believe that everything is transactional.
That you need to gain something for it to be worth doing it.
This is not true.
Do some random act of kindness.
Help someone.
Tell people that you love them.
Make this unfair world more fair.
See y tuesday.

"Women love ... 4sshole.
I have to become one."
Don't fall into this trap.
And in this sentence there are two.
Women don't like as.holes.
You can't change your personality to please a woman.
Women like men who are confident in themselves.
And a.sholes tend to be.
So they prefer assholes to nice guys who say yes to everything.
But higher than the as.hole, there's that guy who is confident and doesn't have to be a dic. to get what he needs.
Sure of his strengths and sure of what he wants in life.
He's fair and protects his own.
On the second point, changing your personality to please someone else is a mistake.
You can't be happy by not being yourself.
Changing your personality to please yourself is the solution.
When I see guys doing sports to please girls.
I think they are on the wrong track.
What happens when they get the girl?
They'll often stop.
We do sports because we want to be healthy and feel good.
Pleasing others is a byproduct.
So aim to be that guy who is confident, good in body, good in mind, who takes care of him for himself.
And see how the doors of life will open for you.
You're doing it for you, not for others.
The opinion of others does not exist in your reality.

Relationship
If you are married or in a relationship.
Put a happy picture of the two of you on the refrigerator.
This will help you a lot on days when you are not in a good mood.
This little reminder can make a big difference.
Marriage is a long process.
There are always times when tensions will arise.
And by passing the refrigerator, you'll have a constant reminder of why you're together.
Another thing, when you enter your home, kiss your spouse.
I don't remember who told me this, but I found this beautiful saying: "When your wife smiles at you, God smiles at you".
Of course I don't know if it's true but why wouldn't it be?
One last thing, never go to sleep on a conflict.
You have to solve it before you go to bed.
Let your partner know that you love them and that you don't want to sleep with a weight on your heart.
I'm going to tell you something that's going to sound strange, but as a man, we have more responsibility.
Women are also emotional.
They go through monthly cycles where their moods will be greatly affected by their hormones.
Be understanding.
They are not like us, that's a fact.

We are in a war.
Not fought with swords or bullets.
But with ideas.
Your enemies are in your homes, in your favorite shows, in your feed.
Architects of choice who are doing their greatest trick.
Convincing you that their idea is yours.
And that it comes from deep inside you.
While you think that reading Green, Cialdini ...will protect you.
It won't.
The architects of choice are preying on your subconscious
Armed with algorithms that allow them to know you better than you know yourself, they can induce ideas in you, deconstruct you and rebuild you.
If the mass propagandists attacked your surface behavior in the past.
Now they are addressing your subconscious.
Be very careful with everything you consume.
The seeds of what you hate can be planted in your mind.

Monday is thread day.
Today is a thread for people who work hard but don't see anything move.
I worked hard during several years.
It was pointless in the end.
I ended losing time that i will never got back.
Really got to be brutally honest with yourself to make things happen.
Cause it won't.
Working hard is not enough.
If you want to help, please help and retweet.
See you tomorrow morning.
Have a great monday.

Morning.
I was going to start a new project in January 1.
Days ago, i said, fck it, let's go.
And it's already running.
If you have something in mind.
Just do it.
Don't wait for the new years to start a new destiny.
You have the power to start today.
Have a great week end.

The most important thing in life is to choose your wife well.
The most important decision you will ever make in your entire life.
It is the person you want to spend the rest of your life with.
It will have an impact on your entire destiny.
It is the decision that you should not take lightly.
I don't have any advice for choosing a woman.
I failed my marriage so I probably don't have any good advice.
But I have a story.
Stephen King's wife's story.
Before Stephen King was famous.
He wrote a lot.
He had started a story.
But didn't like it.
So he threw it away.
At night, he comes home, and the folded papers that were in the trash are on the table.
Next to them, his wife.
"You have an amazing story Stephen, you really have something."
She will convince him to continue writing his story.
And that story will be Carrie.
Genius of the horror genre.
Look for you the woman who will believe in you when no one else will.

Learn to keep your mouth shut.
When you are very good at something, control what you reveal.
If someone pays you a compliment.
Don't say, "Oh, I've been doing this for years." or "I've been practicing a lot."
That's doing a hara kiri on your charm.
They don't need to know.
That's just it, you're in a position of power.
You cultivate mystery.
Just say thank you, smile, move on.
Let them think about it, to be impressed.
No explanation keeps the magic intact.
Tada.

Past traumas
There are past traumas, I will never talk about them.
Talking about past trauma ties your identity to it.
It's easier to be locked into a victim state.
I'm not saying that's how you have to do it.
But it is mine.
I don't want to be known as "the guy who survived this."
It's a sensitive subject.
Everyone has their own way of dealing with it.
It was my personal experience that brought me to this point.
At the worst time in my life, I was known for my trauma.
And once people put a label on you.
It's hard to get rid of it.
Also, without paying attention, you can get stuck in a loop of victimization.
Wounds from the past have to stay in the past.
Heal and move on.
Making your wounds your identity is a sure way to never be able to open a new chapter.

My opinion on street fights.
One night, I escaped death.
And my friend rubbed it even closer.
We were chilling quietly when some weirdos crossed our path.
The conversation quickly escalates.
And one of the two weirdos leaves in his car to take a blade.
From there, everything goes very fast.
He aims at the neck.
Punches are thrown.
Total chaos.
I learned a lot tonight about how to behave.
There is absolutely nothing to gain by fighting.
Let's imagine the worst scenarios.
Scenario 1
One of us gets a blade, hospital or worse, heaven
Scenario 2
One of us hits the other violently, he takes something and we send him to hell
In scenario 1 we get hurt.
In scenario 2, we risk jail.
And believe me, scenario 1 and 2 happen much more often than expected.
Only time when you should fight :
- you can't avoid it
- you have to defend your family or friends
If it can't be avoided.
Hit first, aim chin or temple.
If you touch, don't stop, search for KO.
Then run the f out of here.
Again, do a martial art.
Not to fight.
But to be able to control your body and defend yourself.
And if need be... fight.

Two post today.
I wrote this thread.
It's about Batman and the philosophy of Pain.
I had a lot of fun writing it.
It took me several hours.
I hope you'll have a lot of fun reading it.
If you want to help, retweet it.
If you want to discuss about Batman, feel free to comment.
I'll be happy to chat about the hero, the philosophy or any movies.
Thanks

What is the purpose of philosophy?
If I wanted to be provocative, I would say not to end up with three V's in your arm without asking yourself a question.
But I'm not in a teasing mood and I sincerely believe that we all need philosophy to navigate the world today.
Philosophy is about thinking better to live better.
We are on our own.
Modern history has shown us that.
Our countries have locked us up like rats.
Forced.
Some have lost their jobs, their futures.
The signals to the contrary were everywhere.
"You have to do this, that..."
And camps of ideas clashed incessantly.
Philosophy helps you find your way in this chaos.
The very foundation of our western philosophy comes from the trial of Socrates.
Without Socrates, there would be no Aristotle or Plato, and certainly no everything that follows.
Modern thought is a direct inheritance of facts that have been unfolding for centuries.
The trial of Socrates was the trigger.
A man, sentenced to death for the crime of making others think.
The elites had already understood that men who think are dangerous men.
So, it was necessary to nip this notion in the bud.
But they only killed the man, not the idea.
It will give you the courage to be the only one to think something but to continue to believe in it.
Philosophy is there so that you are not alone anymore.
It will reinforce your choices.
It will help you to understand the world.
And me, my goal is not to tell you what to think.
But just to think.
Because it is a vital survival need in this modern world.

Lack of culture
"You won't have eyes tonight. You won't have ears or a tongue. You will wander the underworld blind, deaf and dumb and all the dead will know; this is Hector, the fool who thought he killed Achilles."
This line comes from the movie Troy and talking more and more with young people, I realize that the new generation has never seen or read the classics.
A lack of culture that makes conversations bland and uninteresting.
How can these young people have an interesting discussion if they know nothing?
If you are in your younger years, my only advice is to immerse yourself in the great works that have rocked different generations.
The great authors, the great movies.
Experience the great stories to inspire your own to be even greater.
Knowing things, lots of things is a hack for social relationships.
You'll know what to say to charm, you'll understand what the person likes, you'll bond more easily.
The goal is not to show off your culture, it is a detestable behavior, and nobody likes that kind of person.
The goal is to find the right phrase at the right time.
Like a samurai, you draw your blade at the speed of the wind.
The target is defeated without even having the time to see the blow coming.
If you don't know where to start, comment what you want to know, if i can help, i'll advices somes books, movies ...

Monday is thread day.
I'm sharing with you a story.
The story is not really important.
It's the moral that is.
What if you were in this situation?
The sword of Damocles close to your being.
Not knowing when it will strike.
What would you do?
Think about it, there is a lot of guidance hidden in the answer.
If you want to help, don't forget to like and retweet.
Thank you.

"The important thing is to participate."
Not for the winners.
For the winners, the important thing is to win.
A second place finish and they feel miserable.
Life is a competition.
Some people want to participate.
Others want to win.
If you don't want to win.
You will lose.
This is very important to understand.
Because if you are competing against people who are playing to win, you are not even playing the same game.
Losing will be your default option.
Think carefully about which side you want to be on.

Never tolerate disrespect
A friend of my son's disrespected him.
I was in the other room.
I was listening to the interaction.
He did not respond.
I took him aside.
"This is the last time you let someone disrespect you.
Stand up for yourself.
'Friends' who don't respect you don't belong near you."
I tweeted this a few days ago but that's not the whole story.
I also told him that this is the last time he'll let someone disrespect him when I'm around to get the message across.
Growing up I had a lot of group friends and I know how a group works.
There are some who use words as weapons meant to hurt you.
And if you don't fight back, they will continue.
It is essential to defend yourself the first time it happens.
Or it will spiral.
For someone to say something mean to you for free, they have to be really mean. Do you think they will stop because they see that you suffer from their words?
Some people take pleasure in your pain.
Remember that.
What if I'm afraid to answer him?!
It can happen that the verbal stalker is bigger, fatter.
If you are afraid of him or her, then you need to leave the group of friends.
Do not hesitate to leave the group.
If no one defends you in your group, they are not your friends.
You will never shine with people who do not value you.
Second option, if you are not afraid is to respond.
Harasseurs are often weak.
They use words and meanness to cover their own insecurities.
If you feel good about yourself, why would you need to bully others?
It doesn't make sense.
So just respond and say, "That's the last time you talk to me like that."
is often enough. Those who bully only attack those they can think of as beneath them. A response is already a threat.
Think about it: if he doesn't think he's superior to you, would he make fun of you? We are rooting for survival and it is dangerous behavior to attack someone stronger than you.
My personal advice is to do a martial art.
Not only will it help you in life, but it will help you develop an aura around you. I swear that when your friends know that you have been doing martial arts for x months/years, they see your muscles, they see that you are ready for the pain of the dojo: they will turn their tongues in their mouths before attacking you.
If you don't do it, at least do some sports and develop your body.
This is the ultimate goal of martial arts, not to have to fight to defend yourself, our body and our aura are enough to calm the ardor of our enemies.
Have a good day and don't forget to check my medium page and the newsletter, there's exclusive content on both of them.
Today is the day we shine.

The day before
24 hours before running a half marathon.
Fear gripped me.
I was pale.
My eyes were wet.
All sorts of questions plagued my soul.
"Am I capable of doing this?"
"What if I fail? "
I breathed.
Told the voice in my head to go to hell.
I would do it no matter what.
And I did.
I was near vomitting.
A part of me wanted to be a coward.
Another part wanted to be the hero.
In the end, you choose which part of you win.
But if you think the guys who cross the finish line don't feel fear.
You are wrong.
They just deal with it.
Fear is always there.
Sometimes I read other writers on twitter and think.
"They are so good."
Then a strange anxiety arises.
The voices wake up.
"You're not good enough and you never will be."
But if you defeat the voices once.
You know they're just clay-footed giants.
Scary but empty of power.
Standing up is enough to melt them.
Once you rise, it decays.
They used to be so massive, but now they are just puddles of mud.
All it took was a little bravery.
The courage to have believed in yourself.
