Subject-Request for Removal of Electrical Supervisory Certificate Requirement for Assistant Foreman (Electrical) Dear Sir/Madam, I would like to respectfully request Western Coalfields Limited (WCL) to reconsider the eligibility condition requiring an Electrical Supervisory Certificate valid for mines for the post of Assistant Foreman (Electrical). It is observed that other Coal India subsidiaries such as Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL), South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL), and Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) do not prescribe this certificate as an essential qualification for similar posts. Therefore, maintaining this additional requirement in WCL creates disparity among candidates applying for equivalent positions under Coal India Limited. Many deserving B.Tech/Diploma Electrical Engineering candidates become ineligible solely due to the non-availability of this certificate despite possessing the necessary technical knowledge and qualifications. In view of the above, I humbly request WCL to kindly remove or relax the requirement of an Electrical Supervisory Certificate valid for mines for the post of Assistant Foreman (Electrical), thereby ensuring uniform eligibility criteria across Coal India subsidiaries and providing equal opportunity to all eligible candidates.
