Beginner CodeClass [103] Date: 18th August (Friday) Time: 4:00 PM Venue: A006, R&D building Topic: Lists and arrays FooBar is excited to announce its first beginner codeclass of the semester, specially for students who are new to the world of programming. We will be starting with basic data structures such as lists and arrays alongwith coding concepts such as loops, and continuing with more advanced topics in future codeclasses. Entire discussion will be language-independent, with examples in Python (along with some language specific concepts like List Comprehension). It is recommended to bring charged laptops for more effective learning. 1st-year students are highly encouraged to attend this CodeClass as this will be beneficial for their programming courses. PROSORT [106] (Div. 4) 25th May '23 (Thursday) 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM Offline Practice Contest Venue: L-321, LHC 3rd Floor Hi everyone! In conjunction with Epoch '23, we are organizing a ProSort today. We highly encourage each one of you to participate and solve interesting problems. The format will be based on Division 4 (beginner-level) difficulty. Freshers are highly encouraged to attend this contest to solve interesting problems and have an opportunity to practice for competitive programming contests, including future ProSorts. Please note that FooBar memberships will NOT be offered on the basis of this contest. However, there will be cash prizes for the winners, along with prizes exclusively for students of the '22 batch! Please note the following instructions for ProSort [105]: 1. The venue for the contest is L-320 (LHC 3rd floor). 2. The contest begins sharply at 5:05 PM. You are requested to arrive 10-15 minutes before the start time to log in and set up your systems. 3. The contest will be of 90 minutes duration. Div. 1 participants will have 4 problems, and Div 2 participants will have 5 problems to solve. 4. You are permitted to use your own laptops or use lab systems, depending on your preference. Note that you will not be allowed to access the internet other than for viewing contest pages and using online IDEs. Use of any other electronic device would not be allowed during the contest time. 5. Please fill out the registration form as shared above. It will be used for offering prizes and membership based on contest results. 6.
