Fantom gas monetisation incentive: 15% of gas fees generated by protocols will be returned to protocols for them to use as they deem fit. Aim: Encourage developer activity which will make the dApps more attractive and bring in more TVL and activity, which increases the ‘rewards’ that goes to dApps. Interesting but I think this will open up another door of discussions similar to MEV share: should the 15% go to users? Then it becomes a Convex wars of sorts, where dApps that decide to return the fees to users will get more users. LSDFi Summer Dashboard by @defimochi I couldn't find myself enjoying the DeFi space a lot since the last summer & fall of 2021 (when I was deeply immersed with Curve playbook and when TeFi summer had been arrived), but feel LSDFi could be a thing. - LSDs are necessary for the public PoS blockchain ecosystem. And it means LSDs should be spend in various ways. And Ethereum is now big enough for composable DeFis focused on leveraging its security to pick up. - P.S. I don't wanna say that we should believe Ethereum's level of security without any doubt (along the same line as what Vitalik recently posted in his blog), but now think it's the right timing to move forward with utilizing LSDs to fulfill diverse needs of DeFi users.
