"Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success." (Henry Ford)
Moving from beginning -> progress -> success takes hardwork and heartwork, especially to work out the differences within the community, no matter how little progress we make.
What holds a community together, and what contributes to a thriving one? Join us for #ProjectYOU on 9 June as we explore more about the power of community in supporting us in overcoming the fear of failure.

“Pigs are unable to lift their heads, so they live their entire life staring at the ground. There is only one way for a pig to look up at the sky. It's to fall down. Falling down is a way for you to see another world. A world you have never seen before. Both for pigs and people." (From The Good Bad Mother)
Perhaps falling down sometimes is necessary, to see the world from another perspective. It gives us the opportunity to rise again, and realise that failure and successes go hand-in-hand. Only when we learn to humbly fall, will we know what is truly important: people who choose to stick by at your worst.
Join us for #ProjectYOU this year, where you will get to hear heartfelt stories and lessons learnt from our guest speakers, Jason & Joanne.

#ProjectYOU 2023: Overcoming the Fear of Failure 👟
Joanne's passion lies in building safe spaces in community, where people can support each other through their best and worst times, and journey together through the difficulties in life.
She believes that vulnerability and trust are the building blocks of strong relationships, and has learnt this through years of leadership experience.
She currently leads a team of eight youths in Uni-Y NTU and NUS, and is proud to be a mentor to two youths in church.
Come join us at #ProjectYOU 2023: Overcoming the Fear of Failure and hear from Joanne on her faith journey, and how much beauty has emerged from hardships. It’s going to get honest and vulnerable, so join us for the ride. 💪🏼

#ProjectYOU 2023: Overcoming the Fear of Failure 🌻
Jason is a first-hand witness to how a strong community can transform one’s life to its fullest potential, given his vast experience in the Singapore public service sector. Passionate for empowering those seen as undeserving in society, he founded the Yellow Ribbon Project to give ex-offenders a second chance at a fresh start in life.
As a father to two young adult children himself, Jason also started the Dads for Life campaign to encourage fathers to be actively involved in their child’s growth.
At present, Jason continues to mentor fathers, build families, and inspire others.
Come join us at #ProjectYOU 2023: Overcoming the Fear of Failure to hear from Jason’s life adventures and how faith has carried him.

Hello there!
We are back with Uni-Y’s #ProjectYOU series, this time on OVERCOMING THE FEAR OF FAILURE.
Most of us are familiar with this fear, and it can cripple us if we are not careful. We have got Jason Wong, founder of the Yellow Ribbon Project & Dads for Life campaign, and Joanne Cheng, President of Uni-Y NTU & NUS with us. This incredible duo will share more about how this fear can be worked out in the presence of a community.
Join us for a cosy evening of vulnerable conversations, small group discussion, and good food (yes, dinner is on the house!)
