Here are five key points on the mammary glands for NEET UG preparation:
- Mammary glands are modified sweat glands specialized for milk production in females.
- Each gland is composed of multiple lobes, which are further divided into lobules containing milk-secreting alveoli.
- Prolactin stimulates milk production, while oxytocin triggers the ejection of milk.
- Milk is transported from alveoli through ducts to the nipple for feeding.
- Hormonal regulation of the mammary glands occurs mainly during pregnancy and lactation.

The human ear consists of three main parts: outer, middle, and inner ear. The outer ear includes the pinna and ear canal, directing sound waves to the eardrum. The middle ear houses three small bones (malleus, incus, and stapes) that amplify sound. The inner ear contains the cochlea, responsible for hearing, and the vestibular system, essential for balance.
