Hello to all the students! After reading your essays, I have noticed that many of you are fans of the GTA game series! I wanted to let you all know that yesterday, on September 17th, 2023, was the birthday of one of the most famous installments of the GTA series, GTA V! We would like to congratulate Rockstar Games studio and wish them continued success and new, fresh ideas. And of course, congratulations to all the fans of the game! 🥳🥳🥳

Just on the news today XAMK Game Design was the most popular degree ever for new applicants this Autumn. There were a whopping 86.7 applicants for each 1 placement. In total 3824 applied, 1820 as first choice. I wonder how many from IVGC applied 🙂 MANY! Really good! Remember finishing IVGC BEFORE applying gives an advantage against other applicants. What I want also to say is that we are here all very lucky that we can offer you FREE Game Creation education at professional level

• For any administrative questions contact our Course Coordinator Maarika@cadgi.org. For study support go to IVGC.Discord and contact Luca (M10-18, M4) or Nick (M1, M2, M3, M5) for support. • The only grade we award is 'H' which means 'accepted'. It is in Finnish language and cannot be changed. Finnish open university system only has pass/fail grading and it cannot be changed either. • You have 12+1 months of right to study. If you go overtime, that is fine. As long as the course is for free of charge you can carry on studying normally. Do not re-register but use old credentials. In the case you want to change some information contact Course Coordinator Maarika@cadgi.org. One more thing! Help us to find the best time for our online lectures and workshops. Let us know which time suit you best by responding this simple query: https://forms.gle/Ea2H6aW8m7QCmNnP8 Thanks! Thank you for being such a great student and do not hesitate to ask any questions! Lastly, I want to share a great video made by Naomi from XAMK Summer School of Gaming. Me and James were teaching game design in Finland last week of July. This video is a great wrap up for our amazing week with 30 students all over the world visiting XAMK, City of Kotka Campus, Finland. Out of over 50 great game concepts developed during the week, 6 were presented and one winner chosen by the students. youtube.com/watch?v=zwbgHvAwJwA Fun and design go together. Welcome back to your studies! See you on IVGC Discord server! I am there online almost every day if you want to chat with me. Dr. Jan Storgårds Course Leader and Maarika, James, Matthew, Denis, Luca, Nick, Eva and Julia, all supporting you in your studies FURTHER REMINDERS: Remember to study a lot of different modules, it keeps the course going and we can plan for new content. You can choose any of the modules you like and study them in any order you like. I strongly recommend to study at least 5 ECTS (e.g. from M10-M18) as soon as possible as it makes your formal University certificate, Transcript of Records look believable and credible with a list of module completions. See list below. There is no need to wait any specific moment to start studying. If you have not started your studies yet, complete immediately Module to M10 - History of Games, 1 ECTS, click here to start. It is important because it will then trigger the system to add you to Finnish University student registry too. It is really easy start, takes max. 30 minutes to complete. I also strongly recommend Module 16 - Artificial Intelligence for Games click here to start, 2 ECTS. You learn the fundamentals of using A.I. in game development. Important reminders: • Links to all study materials are on IVGC.Discord as well as below. We also have IVGC Youtube playlist for some of the modules https://www.youtube.com/@ivgc.coursebydr.janstorga... • Your updated formal Transcript of Records is now sent automatically after you have completed and passed any new module. There is an assessment period, so be patient. • You can apply for a PROC (Professional Certificate awarded by me and James) after you have completed at least 15 ECTS. • The course is free of charge during 2023. There are no fees of any kind. Enjoy! Please, to keep the course for free in the future too share this registration link with your friends: Introduction to Video Games Creation - Xamk

What is Play to Earn economy?
