The moment I sat down, he asked me if I had any covid symptoms. As I answered no, he asked me to remove my mask and gloves if I wanted to. Then he made me very comfortable by saying that they all are friendly people and we also wanted to learn from you while having a conversation. Can you tell us the provisions of that bill? 3. Another background based ques-  A huge company is being run by a family. Though it is a public limited company but family takes the major decisions. Is that right? Should it continue and some cross questions related to this. Should we have a law which should ban family members from being part of the decision making? 4. What do you learn from teaching children? 1-2 more questions related to this. Member 1 1. Unfortunately, Corruption is so rampant in our country. How  can technology help in eradicating that? Can you quote some recent technological innovations that have helped people at large? And some counter questions. Cnt recall more questions from this member. Member 2 Do you know about super computers? Can you trace its evolution? Has India contributed in it or it is just relying on other countries? What are India's contributions? (This ques has no relevance to my background. It was a random one) Have you heard of plastic pollution? What are we doing to control it? What more can be done? Some related cross questions. Member 3 So you are interested in Education sector. Let me ask you questions on that. 1. Commercialization of Pvt schools. Heavy donations are demanded. Parents are not able to send their children to such schools despite the children being qualified. What measures can you take to stop such practice? Cross questions. What is RTE? Has it helped? How? There is a stark difference between urban schools and rural schools. How can you solve this. Can CSR help in this? ( based on my reply) Member 4 Tell me your service preferences. No counter ques on this. Now Ill ask you about your hobbies. Teaching and Travelling. They are quite general ones . So what do you teach? Who do you teach and how it helps you? How travelling helps you? Tell me about India's space programme. Name two missions which are about to be launched in the upcoming months/next year. Yoga- soft power of India. 21st june and everything he talked abt how world has accepted it as an Intl day. So is becoz of diplomacy or soft power? Do you practice yoga? Ill ask about your state now. Why is Haryana doing good in sports? I answered and he  apparently was satisfied with that. Chairman Sir We are done with asking al what we wanted to. We would love to hear you talk about anything, if you want. Or if you want to ask us anything, you can. I talked about women empowernent. Then Chairman asked me about Glass ceiling. Why is it a glass ceiling and not an iron ceiling or any other..? I answered that. interview was done. It was an extremely pleasant experience. They even asked me to give marks to the board out of 100 based on my experience with them. Everyone laughed at the end. I said thank you and moved out. ✅ UPSC INTERVIEW

(A few follow up questions on this theme) 3. A country recently introduced a 4.5 day week. Your views? Would you support a 4 day week? (Chairman stood up after his questions and was keenly observing. The other members were taking some notes) Member 1 - Tell me your service preference. 2. What is Quad? Quad vs Auckus? Why China calls it Asian Nato? 3. Suppose you are made the external affairs minister, what would be your reaction to our current neighborhood policy? 4. Follow up question on gaps to be filled? 5. What did you learn while studying in Jamia? 6. Fav stand up comedian. 7. Worst actor/book. Member 2 - If we make primary teachers the highest salary takers in India, would you support it? 2. Is it possible in such a large and diverse country like ours? 3. Any country in the world that has done such a thing? 4. If we equate the salary of Secretary of GoI and primary teachers, would you still support it? 5. I said that we have covered my views on topics I would like to present my personality traits. Talked about strengths. Chairperson then asked about my weaknesses. Most important challenge that would come before IAS or IPS in coming years Why less importance or respect for civil servants in developed nations where as in India they are given so importance? Is reducing importance good? Why violence against doctors whereas no such thing against civil servants even when they are incompetent? Memeber 1 Why still development lacking in NE even after attempts by govt.? What would you do to ensure development there? Implications of China helping Sri lanka more as compared to India? Whats the issue in myanmar? Why army overtook? Neighbor with which we have best relations ( Bangladesh) ? Why such good relations? Why not such good relations with pakistan? What would happen if we do so in India? Gun licenses are very liberal in US and there is no problem with it ?
