Hello, My name is Olena Havrylchyk, I’m Professor at the Université Paris1 Pantheon-Sorbonne. I’m originally from Lviv and I still have family there. I'm devastated by what is happening in Ukraine. I hope you are somewhere safe, but I know that most Ukrainian academics and people are not. The goal of my letter today is to offer my solidarity with Ukraine and inform you about research opportunities that France is offering to Ukrainian researchers in exile. I know that many of you are under fire, have joined the military or volunteer, but this information could be useful. The French government has just approved financing for a 3-month research stay for Ukrainian researchers in exile, including doctoral students. The program is called PAUSE and the application process is simple. Ukrainian researcher needs to find a French University and the application will be handled by the University. The researcher only needs to send a copy of the passport and CV. The financing will cover the stay for the researcher's family as well. These three months can be used to prepare an application for a 1-year research stay that can be renewed once. Я зараз працюю у Вільному Університеті Брюсселя і багато моїх колег, значи що я українець, звертаються до мене з питанням "Як ми можемо зараз допомогти науковцям з України?".  Є варіанти відкрити тимчасові позиції у ВУЗах в Західній Європі для українських вчених, але незрозуміло, чи це саме те, чого найбільше потребують науковці. Я був би дуже вдячний, якби Ви могли мені коротко описати Ваше бачення чим саме зараз може допомогти міжнародна нукова спільнота (і що реально швидко зробити)? Принагідно прошу поширити повідомлення (нижче) серед студентів, аспірантів та молодих науковців.
